Let fireteam keep 1/2 Veritanium upon death

2 reasons.

  1. Players breaking off is a great opportunity for the Pred to get some damage or a kill. I’ve seen players who don’t even bother with the stuff and I’ve asked them why. They say it’s not worth it because it gives the Pred an opening and you get nothing if you die anyway, so why bother. Letting them keep half even if they die gives them more reason to go for it.

  2. Stops players from quitting upon death. They’re more likely to stay on and try to reinforce if they know they get to keep something if they don’t quit. And kinda 3, 2.5 if you will, it eases the sting of playing super well and losing everything because your team stopped paying attention.

I say remove the reinforcement feature and allow people to drop out properly after death, keeping only the XP and maybe 10% of the veritanium. From what I understand, the whole point of the predator being there is to stop you from getting it?
Losing (or losing a team member) should have impact, there are no respawns.

I’m not totally against that, but I think the game still needs more balancing and more involved mission structure before we can get there. Matches are already flying by too fast. I really don’t mind the reinforcements. When I play the Pred I usually just feel like I have more opportunities to earn xp. Although there seems to be an odd way of calculating the kills. Sometimes I’ll kill 2 or 3 and then all 4 after the reinforce, but it’ll still only say 4 kills, other times it’ll count all 6. It should count each kill whether they where brought back or not. Especially seeing as how infrequently you can play the Pred in this game, why not dish out some more xp?

I’d also like, especially for the Predator players, at least the option to quit and retain xp/loot upon death. It’s annoying to have to sit through the end of the match, especially if they defuse your bomb.

I’m definitely for that, forcing a spectate is not ideal.
