Let’s make a tier list

So I have it in my head the top 3 weapons are Combistick Smart disc then bow. But I’m curious how we rate all the following or if anyone has any concrete reasons why I might be incorrect on the top 3

Why smart disc? I feel it slows you down a lot. It’s so circumstancial it becomes useless in many scenarios + it’s melee damage is to be frowned upon… (considering what Harrigan did with it)

Well right now its hard to argue with

Elder sword
Handheld plasma
netgun.

Now you might think im crazy for the plasma and netgun. But the plasma is spamable and brutal after followups with slam. And the netgun is just dumb op period.

1.smart disc (I’m a disc master main and am nasty wit it)

2.elder sword (easy quick rushes usually 1-2 downs immediately)

3.bow (3 quick shots = assault down camp him and get the person who’s gonna heal him and repeat)

Obviously if it’s a quick match so far let the others get revives

Well with the combination of Traps and trapper perk, it’s free hits with the disk and if you get some practice in with it, you can just free throw it and get huge damage.

Handheld is actually pretty good now. I would not put it over combi though. It’s just undeniable how strong the combi throw into two quick swipes is

If you had to make me rank them by my own preference it’s:

  1. The Bow
  2. The Elder Sword
  3. Handheld Plasmacaster

The bow is the best weapon for a stealthier, ranged play-style. The Elder Sword seems to currently be the best melee weapon, it just shreds people really fast. The handheld plasmacaster is unique among the range weapons because the pressure it exudes is constant, there’s not a huge windup between making a shot with it, like with the bow and shoulder-mounted caster - you can actually skirmish the fireteam with it somewhat.

This being said I really like the combistick. It’s not the huge devestating melee weapon it was, but it’s a great heavily damaging javelin. The netgun is also great, but doesn’t often factor into my playstyle. I think both of those weapons are legitimate options.

The only weapons I actively don’t like in their current state are the smartdisc and the warclub, which I don’t feel have much of a use at the moment.

So my reasoning here is the traps actually have a giant radius and I pretty much use them like Grenades lol. Sneak up and drop it at there feet. Or once you down someone just start putting traps everywhere. Can’t tell you how many people you will get when everyone is freaking out about reviving. Honestly I think bear traps are THE most underrated thing in the game.

I could see that. Especially considering the bow might have the highest skill cap of any weapon. If someone is REALLY good with the bow they are essentially impossible to beat

I don’t think many players are using Spear Throw that much. It will kill any FT member (full HP) in less than 2 seconds. You hit them, melee them with your claws (1-3 times based on class) gg. Tell me any weapon that can outright outperform that?

In terms of raw melee shock factor I still think the elder-sword is superior, the swings are so fast it’s roughly the same amount of time to kill something as that combo. It also doesn’t require a skill-shot in addition to timing your ambush correctly.

Where I think the spear throw really shines is finishing weakened FT members off as a high-powered stealth weapon, if you can pepper them with a little damage here and there at range and then throw the stick at them it’s a guaranteed down with very little chance for the enemy to see your location or react. Though I don’t rank it as a top tier weapon, it’s one I use regularly for my scout as a secondary weapon.
