For sure, if you’re using Hand Held then even better. Depends on your build. There’s something about the medkits and their destructibility mentioned in the patch notes.

Elder= dithered/ adrenal/ energy regen
City= dithered / energy ren/ energy reserves
Alpha= cooling sync/ dithered/ energy reserve

Pretty much down range dmg doesnt matter… what this allows you to do is get 3 full charged plasma shots without going overload

energy regen for me doesnt help that much, overload perk is better

ffs, people aren’t gonna be happy no matter what. Most of us are thinking Pred is still UP

Down Range doesn’t matter? I run that on all my builds, it definitely makes the difference with combistick throws

Down Range is also great for the self destruct explosion, the Fireteam gets killed even harder than the regular one!

no but for real can someone give me the numbers? I just recently learned that the Melee Perk is basically bullshit and doesn’t help, so if someone could explain down range, I’d appreciate it.

I don’t have any numbers, but since you can one shot a scout and recon who doesn’t have thick skin, i guess a fully charged plasma caster bolt does ~130 damage. You’d down any class in 2 charged shots unless they use a syriette. The bow requires 4-5 shots(instant) with or without down range to down someone. Not sure about the HHPC and combistick. But the reason i don’t think it’s worth picking down range is basicly because of the small increase, i who use the plasma caster and bow mainly don’t find the small damage increase useful for my own gameplay.

I personally don’t find fearless and down range that attractive. I rarely go in for melee attacks unless i end up in a 1 vs 1 moment, i’ve never used fearless.
Perks i highly value and use for almost all my loadouts are the large pouch and medic, because you can never really count on available boar carcasses to eat, you also get extra medkits, traps, motion detectors and audio decoys. The third perk varies between adrenaline rush, dithered lense and protection.
I pick these perks after my own gameplay and experience, i’m not saying that they are the best.

that’s actually really comprehensive and helpful thanks. The reason I don’t run the extra health and kits is because I actually find I use traps pretty much only when they are supposed to be used. I’m not saying like I’m the best or anything, not bragging. I’m saying I use them only at like doorways or around corners at certain times, and 8 traps seems to always be enough, same with medkits. I use downrange because I want to amp the plasma caster, but I think I’ll add on something else after talking to you
