Yes, the predator is supposed to be sneaky but the game is balanced around current light levels. Of course it would help the predator a lot, like giving the marines a smartgun (Alien movies) that can automatically track the predator even in stealth, that would also help the marines. Does not mean its balanced.

95% of games end with dead predator or dead FT, its not about being obsessed, its about the current meta. I have 2/10 on my weekly after a ton of games because they game does not go that far. Predators wipe the team or the team wipes the predator.

Yes, doing the objective sounds cool and all but its somewhat hard to do that when you have the predator on you. More so with how you want it giving the predator even MORE stealth and even MORE of an escape when he charges in hopping to floor the entire team in melee (yes, if its dark its harder to follow him). It would make it more challenging for you as FT? Predator players keep saying this… Translates into, make it more easy for me to destroy the FT.

I am sure they can make it something bigger with having a construction yard close to some park or something with all types of buildings used for housing the people working in construction.

That’s my opinion. Because right now I just have the feeling like i’m hunting a tiger when playing as FT. I would enjoy it a lot more if I had to be careful.

Because as a FT you CAN be sneaky use silencers or knife the AI. But no, no, no. The FT doesn’t care and comes in guns blazing and they think. “Whatever I’d care of the pred finds me I’ll just spot spam him and use my infinite amme because we’re all running health and ammo bags so whatever.”

Yeah tbh I agree with that, but FT still needs to be able to extract at least. they shouldnt be so underpowered that pred wipes them easily.

But they all start crying as soon as the FT gets the slightest nerf or if the pred gets a mini Buff.

I mean the balance right now is fragile. Ive said it hundreds of times but the only way this game is ever gonna improve is through a full scale rework of the game.

The predator is not some super monster. I will remind you that in both movies he was killed by 1 guy that was unarmed or armed with a melee weapon. Those people also where not really trembling in place of the big scary monster.

The reason people removed the silencers is that it decreases your damage. The NPC don’t concern me, the predator does.

Oh and predators keep getting content and the FT keeps getting the nerfs. Yeah, we are starting to see less and less of a reason to play FT.

You are correct. he isnt unbeatable, but he has a tech advantage. which is something that hasnt carried into the game well. currently in game he is a “big scary monster” that really doesnt have to have any intelligence to wipe all but the most coordinated fireteams.

I’m cool with the next map being jungle still as long as it is very very different from what we have now. I only really play Derailed or sometimes Overgrown. I dislike Backwater. Some more terrain/visual variety would be really nice though.

I really wish the AI wasn’t laughably awful because if it was a threat to both the FT and pred here there would be a point to all the “downtime” in this game. Why does the pred even have mechanics for taking AI trophies when the pred doesn’t interact with the AI ever? They clearly had ideas at some point or scrapped it or its unfinished.

Rant inc but I wish illfonic had more talent to show because the Evac mode in avp2 did it right ahead of its time. pred SHOULD start with a tech advantage and the FT should be met with objectives to counteract this, optional missions or otherwise. Same for the pred, FT passing or failing missions should create objectives & opportunities naturally and the map should be relevant to this. Didn’t blow up guerilla blockade in time? Unfortunate for you now the next objective is in a far less advantangeous location, you have little time to restock, and you’re prone to ambush. Secured the pred tech from his ship and brought it to the objective marker? Congratz heres your smartdisc and a wrist launcher gary busey and there’s considerably less AI in the area your squad gets a full minute in the locked down armory. Made it to the radio objective before the pred smashed it? Sure here’s your airstrike lets clear some jungle now that area is an awful spot for the pred provided he even avoided the blast. Napalm? Pred can’t tag anyone anymore. Silencers? Extremely relevant for high risk objectives. Instead we’ve got interaction circle fetch quests that exist in a vaccum its part of the reason missions are so unrewarding to play aside from unnaturally forcing a win condition. But hey we can collect water samples from a river and airstrike a truck!

The thing is if you don’t load pred and FT in with their low TTK arsenal to begin with and made them secure gear throughout the match we would have a tactical shooter instead of 4 minute one-sided stomps. Both sides should be playing their own game and naturally reach a pvp scenario, look at Hunt: Showdown or Escape from Tarkov granted these are pvp with pve elements but this game would be too if the AI weren’t trash. The alternative is arena shooter crap and the AI/missions just kind of exist to exist. For the sake of everyone getting to take whatever they want and drop in as scout with a minigun because who cares clearly not the director.

Theres also a ton of far cry esque stealth mechanics. But like you said its another unfinished idea. Thats why I think the devs really lacked direction behind closed doors.
