Let's take a page from the DBD community

In the DBD community it’s commonly excepted that ranks are pointless as you can easily 4K the opposing team and still lose and as a survivor you can all die and still win.

So the win condition is busted, worthless, isn’t even valued by the devs, and the community commenly excepts that ranks are not the win condition because of these reasonable problems so the phrase “who cares about ranks” is common.

So let’s say who cares about Defuses

A. They punish sniper shots

B. Make the Pred completely op as he can just suicide in a corner if he thinks he’s going to lose (op in a draw, not win)

C. They have no actual merit on the actual PVP, you know the importance part about this game

D. Doesn’t make sense lore wise

E. Is used as a cheap escape goat by preds to say ha you didn’t win (no offense)

So…

Who cares about defuses

like i said before , no one cares about your feelings , if you dont defuse you lost , if you dont have the skills to defuse dont kill the monster and just exfill (so no pvp is not important when ft can win the game without even trying to kill the monster )

I have the skills I just never do it cause there’s no incentive. I’m max rank so I don’t need the xp. I kill you you’re dead I’m alive I win you lose. Pretty clear cut

when you create your game you set the rules , in this game if you dont defuse you lost

It’s more than just feelings it’s objectivly flawed. In fact that’s why I find it so dumb. Because wits pointless.

(If the Pred sits in the corner all match)

Escaping the match is about surviving the Pred same as in DBD. So unless the entirety of DBD is not PVP…

Now back when I needed the xp yes I was my team’s designated defuser. Lol it’s so easy that I’m confused why people get butt hurt when we say it doesn’t matter. I can defuse one in less than 5 seconds it’s a dumb easy mini game

Not for nothing but on the list of issues this game needs addressed i consider this pretty low priority. I don’t consider it a win for pred unless the FT is wiped. FT “win” is defuse or exfil. Bomb goes off its a draw. Done thinking about it after that.

I’m literally choosing not to defuse and waste mine and the predators time. Wanna sit there and watch me and my team tea bag your body for a bit for nobody to get any xp out of it? Cause uhh everyone is Max level? Yeah me neither

It has some pretty big flaws plus it’s really annoying to see preds use it as a ha you lost. It’s not like it’d take much time rewording the rules screen

I’m just lost as to how this is a draw. Arnold definitely beat the predator. I’m sure he didint leave thinking DAMMIT A DRAW . Lolol he was like fuckin right you bitch ass alien

Also to your dbd point that’s very relevant. I’m rank 1 killer and I give two shits about the pips. If I kill everyone that’s a W. Could care less if I get all iridescent emblems lol

Because the mission changed. OWLF certainly didn’t consider it a win in Predator 2 when they didn’t secure the body.
