Let's talk Minigun

Ok as a predator player heres what i think to the minigun.

2 easy to defeat! the move so slow and cant turn fast. thats fine. but it also has not enough ammo to make it a better or equal choice to the shotguns etc.

The minigun should be able to fire for AAAAAAAAAAAAGES and ages without a reload IMO.

300 is just laughable and you dont even feel like a beast firing that. it should have 1000 rounds in the mag and 1 reload that takes ages to do. thats what i think. maybe unpopular but thats my opinion on it.

one thing is for certain that you need to be visibly carrying a literal metal scarf of ammo from the guns shack drooping down to your knees then going into your backpack.

That would be a nice visual touch but im speaking more about its usefulness in game.

Going against it or using it it feels very underwhelming. even if its just a fun weapon to use because u can hold fire like in the film and mow down a forest with it… that would be awesome!

You cant even do that with it now. its only a threat to a dumb predator and giving it 1000 rounds per mag may make it more useful to those facetank preds that want to just rush in face first and win.

I agree, but if they do that, I also want them to move it to the primary slot, and decrease the spread more.

I have no idea why anyone thought a minigun secondary made any sense. lol! I can understand everything else. I mean shit if anything the minigun and the GL should swap places, especially since the GL doesnt have impacts anymore.

I know the minigun literally shoots peas but I actually use it for the fear factor, majority of preds tend to jump away when they hear the thing wind up (so f*cking loud :D) because they think they are about to get shredded…

Dont get me wrong, if a zerker does charge me down when I have had enough time to pull it out and wind it up I can take them down to roughly 10% health by myself before I go down

the minigun is absolute garbage right now. i think this is the only buff of the ft that i’ve ever wanted… and i’m not talking about anything crazy either. just a buff to make it somewhat viable lol

The minigun is probably the most situational weapon in the game because the only time it is ever effective is when the Predator is attacking someone else directly in front of you 10 feet away. In a 1 on 1 scenario it stands no chance due to the very slow turn rate while other short range weapons at least allow the mobility to move around properly. I’ve been able to get behind people using it and stay there while they struggle to simply turn around and forget to stop shooting at all those poor trees. From a distance the damage/accuracy is so abysmal that I treat it like a player who isn’t firing at me at all. I will happily stand there and charge arrows at someone who is trying to use the minigun at a distance.

im completely agree with ts, theres no point in carrying a minigun now. it is worse then any other ingame weapon in 99% of situations.

While I agree with so much here, this and every weapon in the game needs to take into account that all 4 players can potentially carry it when applying reworks, buffs, nerfs.

The way the Minigun is right now is extremely impractical, I agree. Mainly because I feel like its range leaves much to be desired for penalizing you so heavily in mobility. I feel like if the mobility is gonna stay where it was at, they would need to slightly buff range and hip fire accuracy to make up for basically walking. It might also be a good idea to just make the whole ammo supply one giant clip. However I will admit, it is hilarious baiting predators by pulling out your minigun and then immediately parrying them to pull out the knife and then stun lock them XD shits funny af.
