If you are like me and are trying to level as the Predator on PS4. DON’T TOUCH QUICK PLAY.
Only play Private games. At the moment there is no benefit for playing quickplay. Fire Team does way too much damage, as the Predator you are forced to stay away from the Fire Team most of the time. Even with using Range tools, you are still doing exactly what the PRESENCE of the Fire Team causes you to do (which is staying away.) Now until a patch comes out which fixes the Predators base health and the nerf of the Fire Team’s damage output, I would highly suggest you play private games either with friends or on your own.
What usually happens in about 80% of my games is, once I get near the Fire Team I have two choices. Attempt to separate the Fire Team which almost never works (for obvious reasons on how easy it is to kill the Predator.) Or the alternative which is to wait for the Chopper and ambush them. Keep in mind this is under the restrictions of not being fully leveled and having a lot of items NOT unlocked.
What I have come to discover is this, the FT gets some very advantageous Perks. More so than the Predator. Just to name a few examples.
-Thick Skin
Increased Overall Health
-Yautja’s Bane
Bonus Damage to Yautja (Predator)
-OWLF Trained
Take Less Damage From The Predator
These three perks alone are more than enough to force the Predator to keep their distance when accompanied by at least one additional FT member. These aren’t including the other possible three Teammates with their own Perks. If any of these members have the Mini-gun you are in for a very tough match.
Another problem you will encounter when playing as the Predator is being forced to deal with the safety of buildings for the FT, an example being four FT members in a room with one entrance/ exit. This causes a halt in the progression of the match with no penalty to the FT AND enables them to win the match because of this.
“How can they win?” When the timer reaches zero for the match the FT still escapes.
These are just some of the things I’ve encountered while playing Quickplay.
