Watch top players like Samhain13 play Pred and see what builds they use and how they use them. He actually has a few tutorials on how to better play Pred. Pred has some buffs that will win you 99% of pub matches if you’re skilled enough, that other 1% is against the occasional pro squad that honest will rip you to shreds unless you’ve been practicing against similar teams for awhile, and that’s just something you need to come to grips with.

The SAWZ-50 is a 50 cal sniper. Of course that thing hurts and in real life the stronger armored stargazers/guerillas wouldn’t even be standing after one shot to the chest. They would be death the moment the bullet hits them.

Isn’t the 7EN the .50? Its modeled after the Barrett M82, which is your typical .50cal sniper.
And yes, no human with the body armor seen in-game would survive a .50 hit. Even if the bullet was somehow stopped, the concussion to the body would be devastating. Needless to say, a Pred would be splattered by a .50.

I asked my dad, who was in the military and the SAWZ-50 is modelled after a real life sniper rifle. And he told me all sniper normally use 50 caliber bullets.
And when I showed him the 7EN in game he said that sniper would never work in real life, because since snipers are distance weapons they should not be fast firing because the gun would jam and actually damage itself much easier.
So, the SAWZ-50 is the only sniper with an accurate depiction.
Well yes, it certainly is a common sniper design in real life. But typically most sniper rifles in active use fire 7.62, or .308 rounds. In real life, the SAWZ would fire .308 as its a M24-style rifle, which matches the design and is bolt-action. The 7EN, as mentioned, is modelled after the M82, which is .50, and also semi-auto, so the 7EN is actually the most accurate depiction (the only glaring inaccuracy is the damage output; a .50 round is projected with considerably more force than a .308 due to the amount of powder, and while a smaller projectile does more penetration, the larger projectile causes more impact damage, so in reality the 7EN should be more damaging than the SAWZ). Your dad’s reasoning on why a distance weapon should not be fast firing sounds very uninformed for a person of service, considering the multitude of weapons that are used to the contrary (many semi-auto AR and AK-style rifles are outfitted with scopes and are considered marksman rifles).

That’s why it’s not necessarily a sniper rifle as much as it is an antimaterial rifle; it’s for shooting tanks not people. The semiautomatic function isn’t as effective for conventional precision sniping because you’re supposed to… well be precise, and not just unloading a mile away or pressing a group. It is, however, very effective when trying to poke holes in tanks and disabling artillery.

this is very true, i probably should have mentioned that. its not meant to be like, a person-to-person engagement weapon, its power is supposed to be used on machinery. and it does logically fit into why someone airdropped into the jungle would use it, just for that reason. there just so happens to be a space tarzan hopping around.
