This is a suggestion.
As the title indicates, there is a great deal of esoteric knowledge in this game. And we seem to have a fair number of load times where we can parcel out that information in.
A few examples:
- Predator classes have different max energy and energy regen
- You can parry as fireteam
- Counter Predator isolation scans by applying mud
- Weapon Crates and OWLF logs exist in the world!
- The predator can jump directly onto tree branches rather than using the trunk
- The bomb can be disarmed
- Fireteam can respawn (though simply appearing rather than fast rope is a topic for another time)
- The predator is fully invisible while stationary
- The pred eyes glow during vision swaps!
- Leafy branches can block FT rounds until destroyed
- Spot while shooting!
- Destroying the BioMask cripples Plasma Cannon aim
- Walking in water doesn’t hide footprints (roads do… for reasons)
- Running with the knife is faster
- Sprinting makes noise
- Heavy breathing makes a lot of noise
- Thick foliage can completely obscure an uncloaked predator (think about what that means for tiny FT)
- Predator Trophies and Knife skins are unlocked only via Loot Crate
And so on. Tips like these would do wonders easing new players into the experience and reducing the learning curve. If anybody else has tips they wish they knew earlier, feel free to add them.
