(after) found out what was going on I’m level 88 on predator hunting grounds and I had Dutch’s knife which is a 140 level knife got it from a crate so what I think happened is that the game saw my level got confused and thought I shouldn’t have it so every time I put it on it reset
Loadout keeps resetting on PS5 (found out the problem)
Does this persist after deleting your save data?

Why would I delete my saved data I am level 85 I’m not just going to give it up
No it lets me select it but every time I go in my loadout it reset to the default Like the weapons
All of your important data, like unlocks, progression, DLC and such, is stored on our servers. What the save file saves is loadouts, custom assignments, and other preferences. You will not lose any progress deleting this. And if you’re having loadout issues, it’s the first thing to try.

So just to be clear you want me to go to storage and delete the saved data but I won’t lose anything?
Yeah. If you’re on console, it’s through the system data management. On PC, you have to browse to the folder %localappdata%\Spacefish\ and remove the Saved folder there. You will lose any graphical/input preferences and custom button assignments, but you will keep all progression.

By the way I’m on disk and if I do lose everything is it possible for me to get my stuff back?

There is nothing progression-related stored locally. At the very worst, if you accidentally delete the whole game, you’ll have to reinstall it and update it (Note: This will not remove your save data. That’s seperate). If you delete the save data, you’ll just have to adjust your preferences again.

Okay I trust you if it doesn’t work well crap I guess I’ll just have to work hard to get back to it

No. If the save file is bad, that’ll just keep the problem going

I had this problem when I equipped Dutch’s knife, removing this sorted the problem for me as it had been happening all afternoon, once I did that it corrected it.
Wait I haven’t done it yet but will it screw with it because the data is saved to my PS4 but the disk is in my PS5?
I cannot say for sure as I have not specifically tested that exact scenario, but I would say unlikely.
Huh, I haven’t had that problem. I wonder what part of the localized save data causes the resets. @Courier any info on why this happens or if a similar issue is causing crashing?

The loadout on my viking is resetting too, very annoying.
Deleting the save data is not going to effect any of your Progress or anything you have unlocked.
It will Reset all the classes you have mad so you will need to make them again. Other than that you will be fine. I 100% say that you wont lose any progress.
