they really need to increase the match length somehow by either adding more objectives or doubling the difficulty of current objectives, as it stands you cant rush as predator and theres not enough time ti wittle the FT down enough without rushing.

yeah the missions need to be a little harder, but the NPC’s also need to do more damage to the pred, so theres more risk for him to just jump in while they defend an objective.

Having said that… the round length depends on you as the pred… if you harass them… pressure them, they cant just rush the missions.

Facts, just finished a game where I kept the entire fire team stuck at the first objective back to back in a circle because I was raining holy hellfire from the trees, the ground, everywhere. I’d jump in for a quick melee and bounce back out. There were traps on every path out and they couldn’t move, I only claimed one at the very end but none of them made it on the chopper.

yeah my main tactic, is to ID them all, stalk them a bit, and then as they complete the first objective (they get a score boost) I kill one…

Then pick them off as they go for the revive… Let the last one alive get the revive… And then let them do the 2nd objective, and pick them off on the way to or at the chopper.

hmm, iv had a few right down to the last seconds. if you harass them they usually sit around a bit and that extends the time. if they dont sit around they are being smart keeping moving. hope one drops behind…

its usually a good team that stays as a group and covers eachother when moving etc.

I used to think rounds need to be longer now im not so sure. i think as iv got better, and the fireteam now fear the pred and he isnt instantly dead… i think the time is ok now…

If they make it too long then fireteam will be out of health and ammo etc and it will be too unfair.

That is usually how I play as well, however that being said I sometimes try to force a mistake while they are on their way to the first objective to take one out, that way they do less DPS.

So a Hunter shouldn’t be able to wear down his prey and strip them of their advantages until finally going in for the kill? Match time should be a custom setting. If I want to rampage blitz or turn into a siege battle (lol) I should have the option.

i play hunter and not having a problem really. all depends on the team and situation.

In private match yeah should be able to pick time and setup match options etc.

Yeah I’ve been running the '87 jungle hunter, and I’ve been wiping good fire teams, it’s all about exploiting that smallest of mistakes. And then capitalizing on their lack of DPS as you wear them down. Dithered lens perk for my PC has made huge improvements to the way I approach and harass a FT to insanity. Love it when they just start burning ammunition into the trees while I’m sitting 10 ft behind them on the ground. šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

sorry when I said Hunter I didn’t mean the class I meant literally a person that hunts, lmao. No every Predator can and does fight like this if they are following the code. Mindless killing is for Bad Bloods which is the issue with all of the movies past Predator 2. Unlike in the extended comics universe, the people making the newer movies like Predators have them murdering and not even taking trophies (and if they do it is a trophy that would never be recognized by Pred Culture). They act more like the most unhinged and disorganized human serial killers or the kind of hunter that uses the headlights of their truck AND an automatic rifle to hunt a deer. No sport or honor whatsoever just a strong desire to kill for the sake of killing. Having ā€œPredatorsā€ focus completely on Bad Bloods but only hinting at that so poorly that only an uber fanboy like me would realize it was atrocious. It was made even worse be them making them bigger than usual and calling them ā€œsuper predatorsā€ā€¦ gives the mistaken impression that it is intrinsically better to be a Bad Blood as opposed to hunting properly.

A Fanboy to myself Predators it is what it is but the supers are a subspecies they’re most likely genetically modified just like the ultimate predator.i mean it makes sense. But I was about bad Bloods so but now they don’t have any honor code they kill forcefully no matter what it is or how they can kill you. They got that part right. I haven’t even watched the newest Predator movie I’m not going to watch that garbage

I have some ideas regarding this. Perhaps adding multiple objectives like you said could work. Alternatively make new objectives that simply take more time. Perhaps the FT needs to find two card keys and both card keys need to be inserted simultaneously at opposite ends of the map to force the fire team to either split up or leave one person at the first location while the remainder haul it back across the map. The jungle itself could also pose more of a threat to the FT. Boars aren’t the only animals out there. Snakes, extremely large felines, hazardous plant life etc. are all things that could be implemented to slow down the game for the FT. Boars aren’t nearly as harmless in real life as they are in the game as well. That could stand to be adjusted. This would also offer the Predator a small bit of cover when he’s getting overwhelmed by the FT as well as making the game world feel more alive.

The comedy was great but everything else you aren’t missing much. Predators has its moments but certain kills and lore made me very butthurt.

Agreed! Had many times thinking about it. If i facing good FT i have not enough time to spend tracking them and exhausting them. They simply complete their mission fast and run away, sometimes really pretty fast. And if i trying to safe my medkits (it’s important againts well-playing team) and trying to find a pig or running to another part of map to pig’s corpse, they have time to complete the mission. If not, they tracking me and kills me when i’m healing (that’s why i prefer to back off as far as possible and heal myself by eating in cozy corner). One time it was all FT was tracking me all the time and they had really good aim and perks judging by the damage they did me even from great range around 50 meters away. And even that way they somehow run away by chopper. Just one was killed by me trying to flank me at the roof of hangar, when i had skirmish with a sniper on other hangar building at train’s depot. It was really insane, and i think they was disappointed too, cuz they didn’t get a result they wanted - to kill the Predator. I think Devs will add another game modes with longer and infinite mission times.

My idea that I posted in a separate thread was to have a set time before the chopper can be called.

For instance, an FT can complete the objectives as fast or slow as they want, but won’t be able to call for extraction until 10mins (or longer) into the game. So if they have speed run the objectives, they still get the opportunity to mess around with the Predator, and the Predator still gets the opportunity to try and hunt them.

The game does need to be a little slower & tactical in order to enhance the ā€˜hunter/hunted’ atmosphere. At the moment both sides are having to race around as quick as possible as that’s the only way to win/survive.

I think more AI are needed, the AI need to be smarter to put up a good fight against the FT/Predator.

I also think that some of the missions could use some randomness to them. What I mean is scatter the mission across the map, make us travel randomly to different points to complete parts of the mission.

Example:

You need to find the ingredients to the drugs. Find a piece where the mission begins then have them travel to different camps to collect the rest of the ingredients then go back to the mission start to mix the chemicals.
