I’m good on that. They want 50$ for the same exact game plus 1 extra player. No story mode, no pvp mode, and prolly more “game modes” that are all the same. I’ll get it when it’s free on psn or maybe if it goes to 20-30$
Normally would jump on it but tired of getting squeezed for money for a bare minimum product.
The mound is bad ass imo it captures the atmosphere and I’m not sure what the difference between ps5 pro and regular ps5 but it looks and plays great.

AFE2 worst game this year!
They stuck to a theme, investors went ‘all in’. Story and dialogue halfbaked. The gameplay for the new stuff is same if not worse then ACM. The best thing they did with the game was upgrade to UE5 which potentially lets people with highend systems play with better performance and better visuals. but they placed so many tiny lighting tidbits that make everything glowing cyan.
Pathogen still do the silly ‘jump in one place’.
There is a cryo that can freeze aliens in mid-air.
engineer hybrids look like they copy and pasted the fiefeld class of enemy.
the queen was put in a cubic arena with zero obstacles.
I would not pay a cent to that trash it was utter Garbage and it got boring after 3 hours
Yea that was my issue with it. After buying the 1st and realizing it was bare bones, I wasn’t gonna get duped again. But thanks for an honest review. Every other review I see sounds like they hyping it up.

Ill still get into the first game with anyone but sadly their player base went down dramatically over the years.
I can barely find a full PC team on comms. Everyone on playstation leave the moment they feel like the team went sour.
A great game the original is. not going to lie, there is more effort in each campaign mission than there is in this new one as a whole. They did nothing but use the same assets, made it a bit bigger and added dust in the air. + mishmashed all the classes and made it faster to play because everyone’s health is degrading.
I think i summed it up nicely.
Not to mention there are scores of fan content creators that couldn’t help themselves but pimp the ride for a hot minute until they realize the game is not compitent enough to hold your attention.
I could have summed up the whole game in 3 solid missions as a DLC for the AFE1 to be honest.
But studios are going to studio.

Play some stuff that will take months to get through like Death Stranding. There are times where PVP/PVE is going to make sense. This is not one of them. DBD is clearly lumped into those games.
To think about whose investing into AAA games, its not what you think. AAA in the next few years will be indulging in niche narratives.
Wu Kong’s sequal and Plagues tale to name a few. Assasins creed is coming out with a remaster…not going to lie. Very few stuff is going to hit the market hard. Aliens Isolation is still speculative unless they come up with some really hot horror ideas. The problem with the Alien franchise is that it is afraid of superceding itself.
If they went body horror (like in Dead Space or Collisto Protocol) with AFE2, how many of the player base in general would that exclude/alienate? All the 18 year olds and under?
Horror is going to horror but the moment executives want to make money off of “the beast” you get AFE2. This watered down half-baked stuff.
Had they blended the content of AFE2 into AFE1, then they might have something. but ulimately they didn’t want to make it as interesting as PHG.
I haven’t checked it out but i’m suckering for HP Lovecraftian shit. I finished Sinking City 1 and knee deep in one of the best games of the year, Sinking City 2!
I got into HP loveCraft pretty hard core these last few years since the release of those manga books on amazon and on youtube.
I been wanting to play the sinking city 2. If it’s worth buying I might have to get that next. The mound is a fun online co op game. If you play it you’ll see what I mean by the atmosphere (better when played with headphones) I been playing it any chance I get really fun game and it was made by a Brazil based dev team so when I hear ppl give excuses to cold iron and illfonic for being small, after playing the mound, it’s all bs excuses as that game looks, plays, and is way better than anything these 2 small devs teams have ever done.
