Could someone explain the FT in terms of how they fit in to the story. I’m a bit confused about wether ‘Voodoo and Zeus’ are private contractors ie. mercenaries, or wether we’re supposed to be a black OPs military team working directly for the US gov.
The way OWLF orders us around, it doesn’t seem as if we’re actually a part of that organization.

As it stands now, Team Voodoo and Zeus appear to be the contracted team to take out Stargazer/Milita establishments, as they’ve been basically outlawed for doing things like selling Pred Tech. Throw a Predator in the mix and you have the Hunting Grounds Event. The only Fireteam Member affiliated with OWLF is Dutch, and that’s for obvious reasons.
The FT and Zeus are a military spec ops team, and are working for the gov. Like the team from the 87’. OWLF is a “company” that stands for OTHER WORLDLY LIFEFORMS. Basically when you kill the Predator , OWLF take charge of the mission in taking the body into custody, hence the OWLF chopper.
Zeus is just your commander of sorts, or the tech guy, you choose.
Stargazer is an ex OWLF that went rogue and hunts Predators for their own research, but FT and Zeus don’t really know about it, they don’t even know about OWLF (that’s why they’re asking “OWLF? What the fuck is that?”).
OWLF got funded again after that, but in a good way. That’s why Dutch agrees to help bring the body to OWLF, because he knows who they are and what they do.
And Veritanium is a combination of Predator armor material and Fe (Iron) or some other earthly material.

I’m still collecting OWLF Tapes and haven’t dived into the Dutch ones yet. I also avoided seeing The Predators or whatever the last movie was called. (Going to watch it because of the game, not sure how I feel about that.)

The Predator is also a sequel (its like set in 2018 or something)
So basically they’re both sequels but we don’t know which one is the real prequel. Genius.

true, we don’t know what year any of the cast of characters in Predators were from. Hense it could be a prequel but unifyingly we would see most of them as post year 1987.
The '87 team was both a private military spec ops contractors unit (usually just called mercenaries, lol), but were also hired by the CIA so technically at that time also working for the US Government indirectly.
Also there ARE only 2 movies but they are Predator (1987) and Predator 2. Predators was ok if you can ignore that they are all Bad Bloods (most don’t care but I was disappointed that it was the first real pred movie in a long time just to be dishonorable killers instead of actual hunters that did more harm to the lore than good) but it is not relevant to the game (yet). The Predator (2018) was rubbish and does almost nothing BUT harm to the lore while being only good for the comedy (arguably). Other than Sean Keyes and Stargazer which were really the only good additions to the lore, I hope the game and its apparently being totally canon-determining steers far far far away from the bastardized dumpster fire that was that movie.
