First of all, thank you Illfonic. I absolutely love this game. I wish I had pre-ordered it but I was just so busy with real life that I completely forgot. I hope you make the Jungle Hunter skin available for everyone eventually. I’d happily pay for it.
Okay so anyway, even though most people seem to have a lot of success with berserkers, I enjoy the hunter for the balance.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING As a predator you get to decide where, when, and how to attack. The ability to choose engagements is key!
Stay mobile! Attack and get out. Always move.
If you attack and retreat you can get the more eager fireteam members to run off from their group. Lots of kills this way.
The early game should be fought at range. Jumping into melee early on is asking to get lit up.
My favorite perks:
Dithered lens - I cannot tell you how drastically my kill rate improved when I added this. It’s such a game changer if you want to use the plasma caster.
Cooling Syncs - This is fantastic for resetting your energy. 3 seconds of overcharged and you’re back to full and ready to kill.
Long Jump - this goes with my overall philosophy of getting in and out. The sooner you can get away after an attack the more you mess with the fire team. This is huge because it lets to recharge and plan from further away.
