MAKE KNIFE FIGHTING GREAT AGAIN!

I assume few people will like this Idea, but in my opinion, the Knife-Fighting mechanics deserve to get a bit spiced up.
Why do we have different Knifes, if they don’t have different stats?
This always annoyed me, as I would assume that a big Knife would be a bit harder to handle, making it slower, while dealing more damage, while a small knife could be very fast, while dealing little damage.
This could basically end up like this in the Game:
While fighting a Predator with the Tactical Knife, you are able to parry and quickly hit the Predator, with very little damage, having very fast attack speed.
Opposed to using the Skull Cleaver, which only offers you a parry, OR a hit with significantly more Damage than the current Knife attacks, but with a very slow attack speed.

And now I hand over this thread to the Trolls again.

Or better idea, they actually implement a duel system for the last person after reinforcement.

I know it’s a lot to ask but im on the few preds who actually enjoys doing those and the clash of a parry.

Idk if nothing else it will spice things up.

Never played that game.
But I love close combat duels. (I actually do sword fighting in real life. lol)

The Devs could even add different mobility for each knife, like most rifles got.

Why? They’re knifes, they don’t weight enough to slow you down or effect any movement speed.

But this game is backwards as hell anyway. You can run faster with a big fucking sniper riffle than with a small hand gun.

But parrying is already a fine mechanic

I just think it will be really fun.

If anything take the parry mechanic out it does not fit lore

Because running with a big knife is riskier than with a small one, so you run slower. xD
Just joking, it was just an Idea because of balancing, making it basically impossible to be the fastest runner with a big knife that does the most damage.
This would also mean that If there was a Katana for FT, you couldn’t run as fast with it as with a small knife.
But it shouldn’t be made significant, more like modifying a range of 1-9% of the movement Speed.

Dutch’s knife should have more range. It’s about the same size as the skull cleaver?

Well Dutch’s knife could be the only knife that parries. Since it’s the same metal Preds use. And since it seems stargazer and the OWLF captured some Pred tech there could be an OWLF knife :3

Have to disagree. The knifes are cosmetics and I would rather keep them cosmetic

Though having FT melee weapons would be cool

ive never seen a game where the emphasis was a melee knife. I think its redundant which knife is better, and i agree they should all be cosmetic.
but Id like to add Machettes to the list because i can’t stand the butter knife length of these. I always use the yautja blade just because its longer and i think the right size for this type of melee combat.
I would also like them to add melee between FT members possible too and this would need to be available through some kind of friendly fire system implimented.

Imagine how my first match with activated friendly fire went…
Started the match and everybody downed each other with knifes before the Pred even got close… xD
