You gotta consider the game format when it comes to maps. A lot of settings people want are unrealistic because it gives the predator a major geographical disadvantage. They need places to pearch and escape to.
Can you imagine trying to hunt in a flat, treeless area? You’d be dead in seconds lol. This game is designed for jungle/forested areas and honestly should stay that way unless they design lamp posts or certain walls to act like trees.
Theyre not gonna do that though. They confirmed they’re on a set course and nothings changing that. Theyre not gonna program new actions or animations to accommodate. Just enjoy the jungle.
Yeah but people don’t want to hear this. People complain about how bad the cave at Excavation is but then try to reason how a city map would work like crouching behind geometry makes for good pred gameplay.
I personally wouldn’t mind a redwoods sort of map, just different trees is all I want to see tbh, fed up of looking at the same trees in all the maps.
A city map could work , just have it run down and over grown? And not so much a city but a small town? I seen someone make a point of even a city setting but in a large park?
The game preserve is whats needed and is what their next move should seriously be , the impending playerbase drop with the new aliens game on the horizon? I would say its inevitable
lol 12 missions 15 minutes each, anyone paying $40 for that generic horde shooter will be back by next update

What about a desert oasis with trees then or arctic ice pillars and of course palm trees, they can do this and they will do this because no one is going to keep playing the same maps and same objectives
Hmmm… given those pics (and Idk where they’re from) all have bases on them, a reasonable designer might look to the Hoth map on SWBF 2, as well as a Tattooine canyon map (I think there was one in SWBF 1 on ps4). The hoth base had lots of corridors and large open places both high and low. Add some pipes up high and scaffold for Pred to scale and you’ve got a winner. Canyons should be self explanatory. As far as a city goes, If anyone but me plays Dying light, the uptown section of Harran is a perfect playground to get inspiration from. Lots of small buildings to scale, but add stairs for FT to reach roofs, etc. Having it be a deserted/dead city occupied by Stargazer looking for Pred evidence etc would work just fine.
I just looked up random bases in the 3 distinct areas to make variety to play in, instead of a jungle and caves
They’re not going to do this lol, theyve got another map and game mode lined up but they’re not changing the atmosphere. Theyve only added one map in a year so that should give you a hint as to what’s possible in this game.
Fuck geography I want to battle the Pred on a shitty alien planet with 3 suns

Mmmmno lol unfortunately this game didn’t turn many heads and disappointed a lot of people on release. It had average scores at best and was basically shat on by everyone. The player base isn’t very big and you gotta consider how new to the industry Illfonic is so theyre not very well funded and are largely running on passion alone. Which, ya gotta give them respect for because this game is much better now, albeit a year later.
That’s because of the reviews and the crashes thanks to some YouTubers but this is a generally good game, it needs more positivity and good feedback to make the devs want to do so much more
That’s not how it works bro, they want to do all they can… who’s gonna pay them? They’re not working for free, and you’re not gonna drop more than five or six bucks on dlc. So consider what they have to work with.
