this looks dope as hell, i’m preordering as soon as possible. insomniac’s Spider-Man trilogy was amazing, so i’m pretty sure they’re gonna do Logan justice and make him seem even more badass than he already is

Nope Insomniacs Spiderman1 was amazing. The miles morales stuff was just god aweful and i think they intentionally did it. But i blame the writers. IT had so much potential but they went i bet it was Mavel execs that wanted the woke piss.
Now that the contract is over, time for some ballsy shit !the way games should be made!

oh i haven’t played it.
it might be good. the issue i keep hearing about it was that venom was dissapointing and all the villians are all kind of surface level.
venom’s final boss fight is pretty hard if you don’t have reflexes or haven’t upgraded your character enough. the biggest thing people like about him in that game though is that heavy spoiler there’s a whole mission where you can play as him and fight kraven the hunter
the villains were all pretty cool, with maybe the exception of sandman who essentially just gets dunked on in the first mission despite being in his most powerful state
-Harrys story line was dismissed and i heard Mr.Negative’s back story is no longer a thing…frankly it made the first game interesting. Why they didn’t explore it and the osbornes was a missed opportunity. Even if the lore in the comics used Mr.Negative and his mystic possesion to link Hobgoblin. Hopefully they will complete that chapter in the next one.
mister negative is still involved, but the story primarily focuses on miles learning to overcome his hatred for Lee because of the bombing that killed Jeff Davis in the first game
I honestly liked Harry being in the story and being venom’s host instead of the classic Eddie Brock. adds more emotion to peter’s mental journey while also still including venom as a major threat throughout the game. the mix up is clever in my opinion

and why do they start giving main characters who dress like spiderman regular names? how dumb is that? Even if you know thier real identities it contracticts being that type of superhero. Now its modern…bleh.
The whole modernization of beloved OLD characters is basterdizing. I like Your Friendly Neighbourhoodd Spiderman cartoon and thats shaping up. Something old school and retro.
continuing on venom, think it was even more of an interesting character because of it’s mindset.
I’ll try not to spoil anything and use only content we know from the trailers because you haven’t played the game yet.
venom as a character in the marvel multiverse has always been one of my favorites, because of how he’s portrayed as a villain and anti-hero.
i think that the choices venom makes are interesting throughout the multiverse, because of both his roles as an ally and a villain.
my theory is: the symbiote legitimately is trying to do good, but due to him being an alien and not fully comprehending the meaning of human emotions that’s where everything goes wrong.
just think about it: in the game, venom is chosen as harry’s treatment essentially by force. venom could have just killed Harry and escaped. but he didn’t. he healed Harry. I think that venom actively tries to aid his host (and not because of natural survival instincts, because the third venom movie proved that symbiotes can survive without a host). eventually, venom latches onto Peter. I’ll try and explain how that happened without spoiling: Peter sustains a mortal injury, and Harry “transfers” the symbiote to him to essentially bring him back to life. but this is where things started to go wrong, because of my previous statement regarding venom not fully understanding human emotions. I think that venom CHOOSES to transfer to Peter and heal him because he thinks that by doing so, venom will “heal” Harry who at the moment was obviously in a high amount of stress.
now, the symbiote is bonded with Peter. but it doesn’t kill Peter. no, in fact, we get the black suit now. once again, the symbiote aids its host by enhancing peter’s abilities. later, when Harry gets the symbiote back, is when venom officially becomes a villain character in the game. Harry is pretty pissed off at Peter for having the symbiote because Harry needs venom in order to stay healthy. when harry gets the symbiote back, venom translates harry’s frustration into “i wanna kill spider man.” after the initial confrontation, venom has in the past overheard harry talking about his dream of curing every disease in the world, so venom decides that to help harry he is going to take over the world because that is what venom thinks harry would want.

well…for the most part that all sounds like a fine and dandy attempt at making venum family friendly…
sounds kind of like a simple solution for complicated storylines.
OK, so how i came to the conclusion that Mr.Negative links with Hobgoblin,
Well its the Dark Force thing where Mr. Negative got possessed. Apparently Dark Force is linked to the Alien Symbiote because at some point he proposes to Eddie Brock to due some bad deeds for him.
But the Alien symbiote is from the Dark force realm, the dark force realm is what all the demonic symbology comes from, the stuff Mr. Li is obsseessed with in which he collects ancient artifacts.
The dark force realm is also where we get Hobgoblin.
Jason Macendale (a Hobgoblin) made a deal with the demon N’astirh.
- He offered his soul to N’astirh, the demon leader, in exchange for more power, leading to a demonic entity splitting off from him to become Demogoblin.
So there is the Hobgoblin and the Demogoblin…
Anyways,…i looked it up a long time ago but i can’t find the bread crumbs.
Ultimatelly I linked the hobgoblin and demogoblin to an ancient demon known to the Dark force realm, which links to what made Mr.Negative the way he is.
Basically we never really got how Mr. Li got his powers because Devils Breath wasnt really expanded on.
Anyways I just think the Hobgobllin premise would be the most interesting storyline. Instead we get a half assed Venom / Kraven story line with a little bit of Mary Jane shit which doesn’t go anywhere.
FINAL THOUGHT: They basically tossed Green Goblin from the playstation story line. which I thought was peculiar. You just don’t do that with a major character. one possible reason is giving Peter Parker the Parker industries storyline via the Osborne industry. but that didn’t happen.Otherwise what is the point of placing Harry/Norman Osborn storyline unless they engage the story narrative? Is this what the Venom storyline is about? Their positioning is suspicious. It doesn’t lead anywhere other than a dangling story arch that doesn’t mature! there are lots of Reddit responses saying “deal with it” but its too much like “you must read the next chapter” type of stuff. I mean…some games take a long time to make. Its not like a comic book writer who writes 10 books, but only one of them makes it. These games cost alot to make unllike comics do.
Thats why i don’t go all out on the next Spiderman like the next book release.
I skipped Miles Morales because it was cringy and didn’t go anywhere.
Spiderman 2 is on the fense for me because lots of what i’ve been seeing is that they don’t go into much about the stuff people actually like.
They touch on Miles, Venom, Kraven…Sandman (mostly stuff that are not that deep pyschologically) …
even the Lizard was a major story arch in Todd Mcfarlanes run but i’m sure we don’t get any of that because we don’t want to depress anyone. Boo HOO HOO.

I mean the drama makes it better. I still think Kraven sucked ass. I can’t tell if he is a hologram or something natural.
All in all, too many villainy matter in the second one that doesn’t equal an organically driven story. more like they needed more titles in the game. Namely, Venom, Kraven…sandman I guess.
I would have liked to have seen more down to earth and centric to Spidermans foes.
Maybe something that brings Spiderman into the wrestling ring as he use to do.
Turantula, Daredevil, Ninjas, Scorpion, Black Widow, Venom is ok but not really necessary.
SPiderman could dawn a more robust utilitarian costume for once.
