Massive Shitstorm (Long Boy)

First off, I was very excited about this game coming out and I wanted it to be good but with Covid-19, this game should have been delayed.

Now my first issue with this game is balancing. The fire team is very powerful and can annihilate the predator. The structure of missions needs to be changed or made longer to compensate for this or just outright nerf fire team weapons and perks. By changing missions I mean make it to where the fire team needs to split up to do a task to complete the mission. This would create a balancing act for both the predator and fire team for figuring out which to allocate resources towards. 2 perks in specific either need to be changed or removed from the game and those perks are OWLF trained and Yautja’s bane. The fact that an entire fire team can comprise itself of just these perks can just utterly make the predator just a useless addition to the game made about it.

Secondly, the issue of matchmaking and more specifically getting matched against players who are levels higher than you. I am highlighting this issue specifically because I know it will be a big issue in the future. A way to fix this early would be to level lock players to face players close their levels. An example would be to level lock people for levels 1-10 then 10-20 and so on till 80+.

Third, predator cloak is not effective at all. The fact that you can see the predator from a mile away with cloak on is such a liability to the predators arsenal. The only way this cloak really works is when the predator is hiding in tall grass and the fire team isn’t looking directly at him. The trees do not help the predator and his cloaking problem as he can be seen prominently because of the games lighting and engine.

On the topic of trees, they are way too low to the ground. It feels like your in a forest rather than a jungle. Once your eyes become affixed towards the brashness of the games engine you can see everything clearly and easily spot the predator making these trees completely useless for any kind of stealth elements the game poses. My fix for this would be to make the trees and predkour branches taller to bring a more anxious feel to the game not knowing where the predator may be.

Furthermore, predators ranged weapons need to be buffed. The handheld plasma caster is the worst offender of this as it does piss poor damage at all ranges. I realize it’s supposed to be an energy efficient weapon but it doesn’t excuse the fact that it does worse damage than the wristblades. The smart disc is an un-usable weapon because when it thrown into dense areas of activity, the frames drop. I can only imagine what damage the bow does as I haven’t yet leveled to it but it doesn’t seem promising. Net gun is fine. All these imbalances just make it to where the scout yautja is inferior to its melee counterparts completely nullifying any type of ranged capabilities the predator could have yielded.

All these grievances are made from playing at least 2 days worth of the game since release. As I level up through this game I will continue to post on this forum or the bug fix forum for any other grievance I may have for the game. I am currently playing on the ps4 official release of the game.

I agree above and beyond. The fire team is way to overpowered if all they do is bunch up and sit in a room waiting for the predator to impatiently attack. And I don’t blame the predator game play. The missions should absolutely force the fire team member to split up multiple times at random. If they - as stated bunch up - they rip the predator apart.

The predator weapons need serious buffing even with perks they take so long to down a member of the Fireteam and I have unlocked all the weapons and gadgets. Now I know we can’t make the weapons as strong as they are in the movies (one hit kills) but they most definitely should not take 5-8 hits with the wrist blades and easily 5-10 plasma caster shots ( if the enemy has a chance to heal. The cloaking is a hot mess I can’t get close to the FT with out being spotted. Not to mention the gadgets have a highly visible cloak bubble. It would be nice if the predator would have some idea the direction FT is going to get there ahead of time lay traps and lurk as opposed to trying to find them once they’ve already wiped out the AI and focused solely on the predator.

Also the ability to go one on one with a tiny knife against wristblades… Come on.

The match making is awful. I bought the deluxe for the 48 hour xp bonus and I think in the 12 hours i have left - I have had 20 matches maybe, all due to the 15-20 minute wait times. I also believe that the option to chose FT, Predator, or no preference should be taken away and only left with quick play (dropping you in at random) everyone obviously wants to play the Predator so the wait time is ridiculous and unfair. If it’s random and luck of the draw then matchmaking would go by quicker.

Obviously this is all opinionated and will take a time period to adjust and fix just very dissatisfied launch
