Most of these guys don’t use anything else. I have gone entire matches without every getting shot at. They wait around and watch then jump in swinging. Everyone’s crawling and the games over in moments.
I played Predator all day yesterday and I was getting much better. Using my caster, bear traps, and net gun. Yes I would like adjustments, but the game is fun “maybe getting rushed 100% is getting old”. I believe the devs are listening and some changes will be implemented. #1 priority should be performance.
Melee Beserker EVERY game UUUHHGGGG!
Just parry. Berserker stands No chance against fireteams that are aware how much damage knife does against pred. You think that combistick is good? Your knife, ridiculously enough, is on par if not more powerful simply because there is more than one person with knife.
I’ve absolutely murdered berserker preds 1v1 and forget about it if its 2v1.
Yea I do feel like I’m the only one using the Scout and Hunter classes. Every time I play FT it’s against a Zerker.
I run hunter. Even with impenetrable and the less damage in trees perk I still got melted as the Scout. I may give it a try again.
I started using scout too, so much more fun to snipe them, than it is to go in swinging.
Make the other predators viable? The predators make to much noise and any slight movement and they’re seen while cloaked. They can’t really sneak so the only option is Leroy Jenkins… which against any semi cohesive fire team the predator will get slapped. Plus the other weapons are jokes right now for the predator. I love playing the scout but when a fire team memeber can 1v1 me with a knife it really discourages me.
Bro what I’m using now is the scout with combo stick and net gun. Perks are- energy cell, modified reserve, and dithered lens. Most fun I’ve ever had as scout
Scout is viable, you just have to use hit and run tactics to keep them guessing about your whereabouts.
Pred range cannot compete with FT range assuming equal skill levels, so you will see a lot of melee. Which is ironic, because as long as the FT has discovered which key to hit for parry, they can completely shut down a melee pred.
If you’re getting beat in a 1v1 you’re doing something wrong, or it’s not a true 1v1 and someone else is shooting at you. Iv never had someone win a 1v1 battle against me no matter how hard they tried to spam that parry. It always ends the same way, which is the FT member dies.
Absolutely. I made a fatal flaw in a match last night where I just got impatient and ran into a warehouse to try and down 3 of em. I don’t know wtf I was thinking. I had em on the damn ropes too. Had vaporized one with my Plasma Caster. Was fun up until I f**ked up.
I promise you it can. Just try it out and work out shots from different angles, they should make a ton of branches destructible, but they haven’t yet, so you gotta work around it. It took me 15+ matches to get used to the play style, but it amazing when you can calculate the angles and get off successful shots. The warriors whom can change their tactics in the middle of a fight, will win every time.
Hahaha I know the feeling, I’ve done it too often. When you resist that urge tho, you win! I’m so glad someone agrees with me!!
Ranged preds definitely can work, until you run into a competent recon that breaks your mask in 2-3 shots, and does 1/4 a zerker’s health per shot.
Work in the long shots and the short ones. I cannot tell you how many times I caught the FT by surprise. Cloak and crouch before you leap on a building and STAY STILL. I cannot emphasize this more. Then when no one is looking move into a position that favors the shot. Shoot it, run, and even if they spot you keep running for about 10 seconds and then turn around and come from a different angle. As a scout you are very fast and can leap 2-3 times before your stamina starts to get low. Make it hard to chase you, and when they do, turn the tables on the ones rushing you. Punish them for pushing you, especially when it’s just 1-2 people. I HIGHLY recommend the net gun for these situations. If you can take 1 out of the fight even for a second, you are getting the upper hand. @calqulon
Think like the fire team would, and take advantage of that. Even if they think you’re an incompetent predator, use that to your advantage. This game has made me think about the way I hunt, personally I think melee can get suuuuper sloppy.
“when no one is looking”
So the key to victory is an oblivious FT that doesn’t look around or listen to in-game sounds.
Patience is key
Sounds doesn’t matter as much as you think, especially with the clicking. You can work around it, it just takes a good amount of effort and learning.
How does learning eliminate in-game sounds?
