Melee Bind reverts back to Guns, Keybind Weapon3 broken

Please fix on PC or PS.
When you push the Melee (keyboard press or MMB), it Slashes once then goes back to the previous weapon UNLESS you hold down on it. This happens momentarily after a predator appears. Sometimes you don’t even need to hold it down it might just stick to Knife but its not consistent enough. Its bugged out!
Needs consistency!

And I think we all know there is a cool down…but its not evident WHEN IT actually happens!
Maybe a red glow on the knife would let us see that there is some correlation to usage, impact and wear?

Keyboard shortcut to Weapon3 is suppose to be Knife but it currently is BROKEN.

Bump, someone please tell me I’m the only one experiencing this shit on PC.
Once you start your FT match what happens when you press the default keybind for Melee be it ‘V’ or “MMB”. Does your character switch to Knife and REMAIN using the knife? or does Slice and switch back to gun?

and What about Weapon 3 or 4 keybind. When pushing this keybind, does it go to knife?
