Melee Combat Is suicide so why not buff the range play.

Melee combat is suicide if you confront a single player head on. They’ll light you up like a Christmas tree and second wind you…Considering melee is out of the question unless you’re playing against unaware potatoes…I would like to see ranged combat buffed.

Again considering that FT holds the power in the game currently this wouldn’t be out of question. The predator could receive a buff; melee is set in stone(suicide). So Buffing range would be ideal.

Why not buff melee.

Buff ranged as well (well nerfing fT damage sounds better) but why not buff melee so its not garbage.

As to your logic, your saying melee doesn’t work so buff range. Theres no connection. Range could be perfectly balance (its not) and you’d make pred OP. The intitial concept isn’t impossible but theres no premise for it.

Now you do admit FT is op but this has nothing to do with my point; that point of FT is OP is sound and clear.

An arguement should be good even if its fighting for the right side and your initial statement of bufging ranged because melee is bad is not a good arguement.

The connection is that range is the alternative to melee and in vise versa. As those are his only 2 methods of attack. That’s the connection.

But that’s besides the point. How are you going to buff melee ? You gonna increase the dmg ? Because The damage is fairly powerful.

I clarified in my post (I edited it) that if Ranged was perfectly fine, you’d be buffing it to be OP (its not but thats what that logic says) that is not sound logic. Ranged has no inherent connection to melee. If melee was designed for X specific encounter where ranged sucked then ya but thats not the case. Again there is no connection beyong that they are two diffrent playstyles.
Now yes FT is OP but thats a seperate point entirely.

Remove parries, drastically increase DPS, recovery, remove all stanima consumption, much better lunge, and tracking on all weapons. If thats op pick and choose.

Those right their would make predator unstoppable so no to those. Needless to say why.

Then pick and choose like I said. If your able to make something OP from useless then you can find a balance. If not then your going to be able to fine something relatively balanced.

Because ranged play is boring. I like to get in close and hack the FT to pieces. The problem with Melee now is the parry bug that crashes the pred with any weapon other than the Eldersword.

No, melee doesn’t need a buff and no, melee isn’t suicide. You’ve just got to be smart about who you engage and when you engage. Don’t start swinging your weapon when you’re 10ft away from the FT hoping to clip them while closing the gap, you need to be within arm’s reach before even thinking about attacking.

As for ranged attacks, they need a buff regardless of the state of melee. Fully charged bow shots need to do more whomp, as does the Smart Disc.

I’d rather “balance adjustments” were made instead of just buffing this and nerfing that in a never ending cycle of misery.

Just my 2 cents.

Same difference. If a rework makes something more powerful its still a buff.

The tracking is poor on it, most weapons just have one button. The melee system is too simplistic. The pred is also not very mobile in melee.
