Minor tweaks that I think would be decent

So, level 89, and a lot of Predator and FT matches, and I’ve got a couple little tweaks that may help with some of the more minor issues in terms of balance and such.

Field syrettes: Right now they’re an instant, near full hp heal, with no drawback. With the medkit at least it’s gotta be put down and activated, but the syrettes are very quick and instant to use.

I would personally change these into self revive items. If you get downed and the preds going ham on your teammates, you cam activate your syrette and, after an activation period, get up as if you had just been revived. Still losing a down, but giving you a second chance if you’re left on the ground.

Bomb defusing: I still feel like it’s too easy to defuse/disarm the preds self destruct. And anyone is able to do it. Most of the time if I get SD, I’m surrounded within 5 seconds, killed, and the bomb gets disarmed with time left to spare.

I would add a perk/gear item that would allow a FT member to defuse the bomb, and I wouldn’t make it cheap. Yautja’s bane is already 6 points, so either match that or keep it around that expensive sort of area. This would in theory change up the perk/gear choices of FT members and cause more explosive endings to games where the Pred has been made to SD.

Reinforcements: Right, please don’t kill me, I don’t actually mind this system. Getting killed off in the first 2 minutes of the game and not being able to come back would be pretty damn harsh if you ask me. However, the reinforcements are quick, drop in all as one, and can damper some Preds experiences.

I would tweak this in one of two ways.

  1. Reinforcments still work the exact same, but the dead FT members respawn on the opposite side of the map, giving the Pred some time to potentially get the reinforcement caller(s) out of the game, or go for the solo resurrected guy and claim them a second time.

  2. Make the reinforcements take longer the less people are coming back. So, the team would need to be near the beacon for 1min for 1 member, 45 secs for 2 members, and the usual 15 secs for all 3 members. This would hopefully make FT members plan a reinforce and potentially split up to have say one person on he beacon and the others doing the mission.

I’d put the two reinforcement ideas into one as well potentially, depending on how different it changed up the dynamic.

How does everyone else feel about these? Anything you’d do differently with these specific areas? Of course a whole lot of different balances still need to be looked at and adjusted accordingly, but right now I’m focusing on these smaller things I’ve personally come accross and thought about.
