I bought this game to hunt as the predator, as many of you also have. Every single AvP or Predator game, whenever I play as the Predator, I like to take my time and use every tool in my toolkit to its fullest. I always loved chipping down the health of the human players due to the severe lack of resources in past games. For example, in AvP 2010, you were limited to 1 or 2 stim packs per life and once you used them, there was no possible way to regain your health. In game modes where there were multiple predators, we constantly were trying to force the humans to use up their stims. We would use our Plasma Casters, combi-sticks, smart disks, and mines from a distance and eventually all rush in at once and pick off what we could and run away to plan the next attack. This almost always worked due to the map size and the time that was given to the Predators. You could easily predict where a human would travel on one of the maps and lay down all of your mines and create a small trap. However, in this game, that tactic is missing. The sheer size of the map makes your bear traps and motion detectors completely useless and the speed at which the humans complete the objectives forces the Predator to act quickly before they moved on to the next OBJ. There is no tactical planning in favor of the predator. The most you can do from a distance is to use either your Plasma Caster or bow and attempt to kill a human quickly. However, the power fantasy of those weapons is missing as well. In past games, nearly every weapon excluding the wrist blades was a 1-2 shot kill with no downing mechanic. It made the human players actually fear the predator due to their ability to instantly kill them at any time in the match. However, the predators in past games were not incredibly strong either, which forced the predator to play highly unpredictable. Essentially, both human and predator were each a large danger to the opposing player. There were no grenade launchers, no snipers, no LMGs, and the melee for the humans was only meant to interrupt attacks. The only way for the humans to survive was to literally stand back to back in one area and not move around. Winning as the predator was fun as hell because you actually felt like you were hunting, and winning as the humans were incredibly rewarding due to the difficulty of taking down the Predator. However, in this game, neither could be said about this game. Winning as the humans are incredibly easy and playing as the predator is unsatisfying due to the pitifully low damage of every single weapon in the game. The least that could be done to help the predator players is to add a “Deathmatch” type game mode. The only way to actually win the game is to kill the opposing team. There is no time limit, and the maps this takes place on is much smaller so the predator can lure the humans into a certain area and trap them in that area with their bear traps, maybe mine if the devs actually add them, and tree nets if the devs add them. This would allow the predator to corral the humans into one area. Another option is to buff the predator weapons to at least do an instant kill with no downing on a well-placed headshot with either the caster, combi-stick, or the bow. This would also force the humans to constantly stay moving and possibly fall into one of the predator’s previously placed traps, allowing easy kills for the predator. Maybe even add 2 more humans and another predator so the predators can combine all the tools in their kits. Sorry for the long college essay. I really want this game to succeed and I want to feel the power of being an apex predator. Not a wannabe tiger that uses q-tips as his weapons. I also want to feel rewarded whenever I kill the predator. In this game, playing as the FT is equally as boring due to the ease of killing the predator. Not once am I having miniature panic attacks every time I play as a human as I did in past AvP games
