So playing this game I was not expecting alot. I read the reviews and figured that if it's free then maybe. To my surprise, absolutely love the game and even bought the dlc, and for me buying fps dlc is rare. This game has a wonderful mechanic to it and really glorifies the nature of the predator franchise. The customization is well drawn out with tons of variety to choose your own look, or go for a cosplay role of your favorite predator or human character. It keeps a nice roll on classic fps elements and being hunted while completing your objectives is scarier than hell. But if you want to go old school then clash makes for a good team death match Playing as the predator is a treat and it really teaches you how to do some pretty cool hunting tactics. It was also very cool to get the actors who wveve seen in the films to do the voices of their characters in game. Especially Arnold.
This game is very fun, but it isn't without its flaws. The mechanics can be clunky with the predator sometimes especially when it comes to the jumping. The slightest miscalculation, and you'll bounce into a wall sending straight up vertically and can make you a real easy target. The other thing is that though the 2 game modes provide it feels like it needs more modes and eith more modes comes more maps.
So hers some bullets on my suggestions that could definitely make a predator fan feel completely at home.
•GAME PRESERVE MODE: This mode would present different maps of different areas of a game preserve planet (much like in Predators) where 8 players are dropped on an alien planet hunted by 3 predators. Their objective is to find the means to kill the predators or escape the planet via a predator ship. If there are only 3 to 4 players left on the foreteam side, they are given a reinforcement mission that can allow them to locate an imprisoned predator ,(one of a weaker clan) and whoever died with the most points (or roll of a die) can come back and aid as a predator and also opening another pathway that can help get off the planet.
•LEDGE GRAB: To eliminate the jumping bug the predator has the game should first show the player if the jump they will make is obstructed by tree limbs or wall edges and if it will impede the player the game won’t let you make the jump thus saving you from being an open target. If it’s a LEDGE for instance then having a LEDGE grab where the predator can grab hold of the wall he’s jumping over, or the roof he’s getting too, and climb for a bit scaling the wall to the otherside. Kind of like when using the trees.
All and all this game has the great potential to be something even better. I hope this feedback helps with any new predator titles and wish all the best.👌
