Just had an admin message me asking for details of how the game is running in my ps4 and how much space I have left on my hard drive. The game is messing up even more lmfao. Haven’t played in over a week haha

They should go BioWare route, allowing certain players to access their PTS server (if there is one) in order to test and write feedback.

Thats if they intended to support it long term I would imagine , their style is drop and go. Its pretty much their M.O

I mean, if they’re actively trying to reach out and solve particular issues, that’s a good sign. I was approached with the same question and happily provided. I’d encourage everyone else involved to do the same

Their excuse for this was something along the lines of them thinking they would have to pay us as QA testers.
As if DBD doesn’t have a public test branch.
I genuinely don’t know how much of this is genuine incompetency or if they’re dumb intentionally.

Seems like more work for their taxwriteoff team & they don’t want work. just additions to their portfolio for the next project, regardless of quality. IE the joke that is fireteam bots. You get to be the guy who said you worked on epic atmospheric night map lighting (lol) on a Sony published game, even if the result is horrible and halfassed for the people playing it.

From what I’ve heard, the people who have done good work on this game have moved on to a better employer. Illfonic’s employee retention is deplorable, conditions there are apparently substandard, unable to keep employees for longer than a few years since it pays poorly, few benefits.

That’s just what I’ve heard. If that’s really the case, I feel awful for the devs. That’s more of an executive issue than it is a dev issue

As a current employee, my pay is pretty good and there are great benefits. We have wonderful executives and team members that support each other well. I would highly recommend working here to anyone interested!

They have an opening as a “Community Coordinator” that they posted 2 days ago. As the community coordinator, you would be Illfonic’s representative and moderator on their forum. (Kass has either been promised a promotion, is quitting, or is getting a second person to share the workload with)
