Most important fixes pre- 1.10 & 1.11

Just a small list of things that have to be fixed and/or taken care of with high priority. To all who reply, add your own points, I will add them if I think they belong in my list (I’ll try and keep it updated until the next patch:

  • Friendlist: We need a fix be able to invite people ingame, fix the bug where parties have to keep rebooting the game so they see each other online AND have a list of recent players so we can add people we like playing with, ingame.
  • Predator melee bug: Where while engaging in melee all buttons turn into melee attacks. This bug still exists. Also - could be me - there is a quick-melee bug present right now that allows me (randomly it seems) to spam my wrist blades 4 times in a row (within a second). Can’t recreate it yet, seems to happen randomly.
  • A small rework of the tree mechanics. Getting magnet pulled towards trees that are offscreen…? I’ve lost or almost lost games because of this. Or split the normal jump and the tree-jump mechanics onto different buttons. I can’t jump over a fence without - involuntarily - leaping towards a tree 30 meters further…
  • No, or almost no pigs spawning on the map. Pigs that are killed that disappear from the level (while still being on the map)
  • The Map (hud) not being the same scale as the actual map. Mostly noticed when the predator goes into self-destruct. The circle is way bigger than the actual explotion (on the map (tab)).
  • Still joining empty lobbies that aren’t filled back up by the matchmaking.
  • Predator noises are ok on volume, but (at least) need a 50% reduction in the amount of sounds being produced. Against good teams there is zero stealth right now.
  • We need end-game content for players lvl 100. Either let me prestige and reset all my weapon (levels) so I’m forced to play with “shit” loadouts forcing me to get better without being max-geared. Or… give me lootboxes when I get the 99-100 xp. Farming money for skins isn’t a core-gameplay loop.
  • We need some form of ranked, with some degree of skill tiers.
  • We need an option to opt in for teams using microphones. As the game is intended to play. The full experience in this game includes players with mics. I don’t care waiting a minute longer if I have the choice to play (only) with players who can communicate, or to play predator against teams that talk. It’s what everyone is saying (even in Evolve back in the day). It’s time for the first developer to step up and implement it.

I totally agree with Level 100, Post Endgame Content @SilverbornReaver. I’m betting that Illfonic will eventually up the Level Cap to 150 like Friday the 13th: The Game had.

Excellent Observations too. Tree Magnetism rears it’s ugly Head when in the heat of an Engagement, especially when trying to scramble while remaining Tactical.

Illfonic has been doing a pretty good job with Updates, so I’m sure it’s a matter of time before we get Patches that address these Issues.

Good points, I would exchange all of them in a single breath for removing marking of cloaked preds

I played for two day’s, mostly predator. Over 30 matches. I lost 1 match because I got cocky against a team that actually knew how to burn me down in one encounter. Got the melee bug, lost 80% of my hp in 1,5 seconds.

I literally don’t care they can spot me or tag me. It’s often part of my strategy. I know @Noktrum you are pretty set on removing the marking (I’ve seen your posts). But it only needs a small rework. Don’t forget it is part of some core gameplay mechanics. They aren’t going to remove it that easy. It is absolutely nessesary at low-level gameplay. And a pain in the ass around end-game.

I generally don’t use cloak that much to be able to use my plasma cannon more. And honestly, once you learn to double leap as a Hunter - they track the first jump, not the second - you can stay put (100% invisible) at your second landing. Spear throw or bow work great. I literally will jump right into the group and quickshot them from 2-10 meters distance. This will only work once or twice against good teams, generally I don’t get that close. But it will create chaos and panic of which you can profit.

Try brute force once -> Get spotted, jump near them (don’t take more than 15% hp dmg during these strategies) -> jump again. Throw your spear at the first straggler, finish him with 1-3 claw attacks -> get your spear back -> jump out -> jump back again towards the downed player -> spear throw the person reviving the downed player -> finish the second player (2 down, or 1 down + 1 low) decide if you want to end the match there, or let them go.

They will not be able to track you if you leap (systematically) close to them. Just try not to melee unless you finish them.

If you get killed because you get spotted, you aren’t that good yet. I see too many players stand still in various engagements and wonder how they lost their HP in 2 seconds. Try to never stand still unless you are 95% sure they don’t know where you are. And if you see one looking at you strangely? Relocate. You make enough sounds to be 100% sure they know you are close already.

Glad its getting thrugh XD

Bump.

I don’t agree though with the microphone gaming thing…just prioritize the chat wheel to be more inclusive to the needs of communication. I dont want to start learning how to communicate with children in this game.
