most OP pred

Your right. They’d be the equivalent to gear, weapons and perks.

The passives that each class has would be the killer power equivalent.

I’m not saying that’s what it does but that’s what they should do.

And you should. A heavy weapons expert should be 10 times better with the rocket launcher than a recon with a rocket launcher. But I should still have the freedom to do so. Demogorgon with STBFL is a 100% better than Huntress with STBFL because of their unique playstyles. But I can still run STBFL with Huntress if I wanted too.

Limiting is a way to bring diversity to classes true. But adding passives and specializations that did impact each class in a way that killer powers do would be better as it has both player choice and diversity in classes

Never said they did

thats two different characters with two different set of tools thats like like saying melee viking is not the same as caster elder

Exactly. That’s what passives should do on there own.

They each have their own unique ability that promotes different playstyles, that encourage the use of different perks, and add ons that further change their playstyle. Which would then promote an even more diverse set of perks.

This should be the dynamic between passives and specializations in PHG.

True a melee Viking is different from a plasma Elder. But I can also play plasma viking and then there’s no difference playing as or against me or an elder or viking.

Even with the same gear playing against two classes should dynamically affect the match and the classes themselves should promote different builds on top of that.

I think in terms best to worst it’d be hunter, alpha, scout (best class regardless of what anyone says), CH/Elder, Viking, zerker, and samurai as the worst

if you play them exactly the same then your playing one or both ineffectively

Not really. Throw an adrenal on viking he’s a tankier hunter but with less perks.

Not to mention CH versus Elder versus scout versus alpha versus hunter. They’re all the same playstyles.

It’s either melee or range.

I mean when you go to the simplest terms they all play the same just slightly different.

In my opinion the Pred classes are so balanced to each other that it is hard to say one is overpowered at the moment.
But if I had to choose a class for the rest of my life it would be the Alpha.

like i said eariler if you want a huge change in gameplay you need to change the weapons/tools. as for all them playing the same i never leap spam and quick scopeas viking, i jump quick scope and claw or i try jump to a flank but when im scout i mostly leap quickscope and leap often to confuse them or i sprint to a flank and hit em with melee only really jump cast as scout to troll

City hunter is objectivly the best predator with regular hunter close behind because of the extra perk points you pretty much only run regular hunter if ur taking impen any other perk setup is a city hunter I’m at work atm but I’m sure I’ve linked the thread to you before with my opinions

Anyone saying a it’s a heavy predator or a scout/alpha is trolling

Why not passives.

Not a big difference at all.

what would constitute a huge difference in gameplay for you ?

I should say none of the predators are OP there is however some of them are just better than others if you asked me to ranked em it look like this

S: CH Hunter
A:Elder
B Alpha Samurai
CScout Zerker
DViking

The difference between Huntress and Meyers. I don’t have any idea’s myself. It’s tricky but if they want a good game they’re going have to do this since it’s the cornerstone of most games as a service’s.

Plus what’s the point of classes if they all play the same.

That’s why I love the Alpha: still enough HP to quickly jump into the crowd and quickscope, attack,or claim someone while having enough stamina(with adrenaline perk) to get out in time. The longer leaps of the alpha are also nice for this playstyle and saves me long jump, so I don’t need much points.

I Hard agree if there gonna keep classes like this I’d rather they just give us a point buy system and let us select the body type so we can just make our own predators cause rn it sucks having so many of them just be bad

Albeit I half hope that they don’t go the Hero genre rout and start just giving each predator class an ability to make them unique

Completely different preds with different defaults or signature things they’re required to take to balance them out like City Hunters wrist launcher.

In a perfect world off the top of my head just start replacing defaults, (all that stuff in the load screen)- A pred with extended wristblades that can’t use offhand weapons, a class that cannot second wind, a class that can only see in thermal, a class with no target isolation so classes have clear weaknesses and counterplay just like Killers in DBD. Then make them really good in other areas.

If you want to throw in movie preds - Let them use their signature gear but the supers don’t wear thermal netting. Give FT cryo weapons and let them have a field day, should absolutely tank pred stamina. That shitty 2018 movie is an easy excuse for “hybrid” pred perks too but should seriously limit their choice of weapons. Assassin was bulletproof when his skin was hardened but used no weapons aside that wire gear thing. Give him an armor system, make him slow as hell and only susceptible to weakpoint damage.
Idk if you ever played Fatkid in Halo but basically Fatkid.

This is the radical end of classes. Is team fortress hero genre?

I’d say anything with impactful classes is part of a hero genre including siege and dbd.

Disagree with limiting player choice by completely cutting weapons but the rest I agree with.
