which is it
most OP pred
You could just edit the catagory instead of voiding it.
how do you do that
cracked it thanks
Fireteam
Considering they’re all just slightly different stats all of them
lmfao
It’s dumb and I hate it. Stuff should’ve been class restricted from the start both for pred and FT. So everything has drawbacks like a proper class system in any other game.
Instead everything plays the same.
I don’t think there should be class restrictions, instead I think each Pred needs passives that mechanically affect the gameplay and 4 specializations each that also further changes gameplay similar to how different killers and ops in DBD and Siege respectively alter gameplay. Restrictions would do the same thing but limit player choice and have a smaller affect.
Better than what we have now I suppose.
Both games you listed “limit player choice” though. The killers don’t swap weapons and I can’t put Huntresses abilities on Clown nor can I give Huntress a chainsaw or Billy hachets. You can grind out perks but perks actually fill a niche in that game.
Siege is also weapon and skill restricted so you don’t get Tchanka with a drone.
Both games limit playstyles.
Letting people mix and match anything completely fucks the balance and renders most of the roster void. There’s no point in calling them classes if they all do the same thing.
It just turns into people running the most optimal everything on the best character because all playstyles are the same, which is what actually limits player choice in the end. Because why would I play viking if the default classes have superior stats and run the same weapons and equipment other than to gimp myself.
The whole point of classes is that you’re locked into a particular playstyle, not “recon” with a LMG and rocket launcher.
Scout
No question
wtb having specs that effect claim speed, partial healing by eating humans, faster full invisibility, harder to see in stealth while crouch moving, quieter footseps etc ?
Probably Hunter is the best if you are going against premade PC fireteams, doesn’t have any drawbacks.
City Hunter having 2 less perk points isn’t worthy even though he is a little faster.
Elder has 1 more perk point but is slower and has less stamina and more 2 points for gears doesn’t help much.
Scout and Alpha just can’t take enough damage. I think Alpha is a little better since he can take a little more and 13 perk points is enough.
Berserker is like a nerfed Viking since it has 3 less perk points, and having more points makes more difference than being able to carry more gear, same thing for Samurai. If those classes are meant to focus on close combat you will probably need adrenal boost and impenetrable, Viking can have that + 2 points for something else. But even then the damage of the fireteam might be too much and he is slow.
So Hunter > Alpha or Viking depending on playstyle > rest
ME :P
The weapons are cosmetic. Doesn’t matter.
That’s the equivalent of passives that I mentioned. The perks would be the weapon/perk/gear equivalent Wich you can swap between others. The classes themselves would be different. Not the gear.
And I disagree with that. At least on the weapons. And even then you could argue that the guns serve more as stats because they’re all the same mechanically aside from a few.
As for the drone that like saying FT should be able to Pred leap. They’re on separate sides of an asymmetrical game. Not separate classes with different equipment.
Unless that equipment synergies with the passives it doesn’t just balance them all. And if it does synergies to the point of being broken just nerf the passive. And yes the gear should optimally synergies to promote diverse loadouts. Or at the very least promote playstyles that promote diverse weapon choice between players.
Ya passives would do that. Like in DBD. Certain perks are better on Huntress so it creates more build diversity between killers.

Ya but I was thinking more impactful. Those are nice but they don’t really change gameplay.
dunno what you want when talking about changing gameplay
i mean you’d need new weapon types to change how you play a pred
DBD Perks are not equivalent to classes. Each killer is a completely different playstyle first and foremost, you don’t even get perks at the start. FT specializations don’t magically change up their game either because ultimately now they can still play rocket launcher recon but just pick a free bonus of their choice with it. Which still doesn’t make it a class. Field medics being the strongest thing to ever grace the game didn’t change up playstyles it just further fucked the balance.
If the class system was an actually class system, if you want to use a rocket launcher then you pick the heavy weapons guy. Simple. I don’t play Battlefront and go “oh man they really limited my choices by not letting me play droideka with a sniper rifle.”
Illfonic did not somehow revolutionize class systems by being lazy and letting everyone use everything. It’s an absolute nightmare for balancing.
Think about DBD. Playing as and against a Huntress is completely different than playing as and against a Meyers.
