Multiple Crashes on PC

Playing on the PC through the Epic Store. I have had multiple crashes sometimes up to 5 to 6 crashes in 30 minutes of game play. The crashes seem random to me as they sometimes occur at the main screen, sometimes in game at different point during the mission, and sometimes just as a game ends. I receive no error message or log message when the crash occurs.

I have updated the video and audio drivers for my PC. I have set the Epic Store to run as Administrator. I have closed down antivirus software and malware software. So far nothing has made much of a difference at all in the crashes I’m encountering.

Not sure if everyone is experiencing the same issue or not. But it is very annoying when I wait in a queue for 10 minutes only to have the game crash as the game starts. If there is a way to get logs or some sort of error report let me know and I’ll get that and post it if needed. At the current time I just haven’t seen any logs or error messages to help explain why the game is crashing.

Thanks in advance.

any overclocking?
Whats the PC specs?
have you checked the crash logs and noticed what has crashed (search the XML file for the word “true” and look for something that says “has crashed” true. )

No overclocking. Ryzen 5 CPU, 32 gigs ram, 1080Ti NVidia card. Where are the crash logs at for this game? I searched the install folder but hadn’t come across anything that looked like a crash file.

X:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SpaceFish\Saved\Crashes

Thanks for that info. I should’ve known to look there but I guess everyone has a blonde moment from time to time lol.

When searching the latest crash file I found this entry:

thats the one that says “is crashed true” ?

Render thread suggests the GPU crashed. This game is very heavy on the GPU at the moment. Id suggest lowering the power limit a little.

Even below 100% just to test see if it still happens.

Alrighty I’ll give that a shot. Thank you so much, I been fighting with this for days and really like this game (hardcore predator fan here) and just really wanted to get around the crashes somehow.

my render thread crashes all the time at power limit 126% but at 122% its fine. so just give that a go.

and you’re welcome

lower the graphic settings … mine was crashing too. i had to lower the settings hence no crash. this thing is power hungry who knows how much vram its guzzling

its the shadows setting and view distance… turning those all the way to low makes the game look horrendous but it also makes the game perform a consistent framerate… so i use those 2 settings at medium, everything else is on high.

I get regular crashes also, often when switching sound inputs.

My son just pulled the USB cable out of me headphones and crashed the game.
crash report still says it’s the graphics card lol.

happy to help if i can.

you could also try to adjust the timeout detection and recoverey settings in the registry.

I dont know if it will really help because as far as im aware the GPU driver isnt actually resetting (or you would get the screen flicker/go blank for a second and a message telling you that the GPU driver crashed and restarted.) But it cant hurt to increase the time a little (i always increase this anyway)

adjust the TDR delay to something higher than default 2 seconds.
If you are not sure what you are doing probably best to leave it alone.

I overclocked mine and that’s when i ran into issues as you described. For some reason this game does not like overclocking even though my benchmarks are fine.

Hey if you use a Ryzen 5000 CPU you have to go to the bios and set PBO to disabled! Better both of the first two settings PBO and the one below. For me it worked FINALLY!!!
