Touch your toes for a long time
If that doesnt work, lean back with your torso as far as you can without falling over
If that doesnt work then just do ^ but only your stomach goes out and you feel the pull of muscles in your back
If that doesnt work then go to the doktah
Get a pull up bar and hang from it. It will naturally decompress your spine and improve posture and grip strength, just from performing dead hangs. With or without it, when stretching make sure you take deep breathes, and hold for 1-3 seconds then release. Either way you need to decompress and stretch your spine
For real, how bad? Can you walk? Does it hurt just in your back, or is it in your pelvis too? Not kidding. I suffer from severe sciatica. It hurt so bad when it blew up I couldn’t walk for a week. Spent a while week lying down, but not before I went to the E.R. thinking I had colon cancer or something, it was so bad.
After several chiropractor visits, I got a Tens unit and xl pads for it. It changed everything. Now, it’s an inconvenience for sure, but I’m functional now.
Stretching etc is great and I recommend it once your pain is manageable, but if you’re locked up and can’t move, you need to get to a chiropractor and then perhaps a massage therapist (not a masseuse!! No rub n tugs!) to unlock the muscles. Then look into the Tens units on Amazon. They’re not that expensive. If you want more info, DM me and I’ll share some tips. Feel better.
Maybe see a doctor…?
Back pain is no joke , anti-inflammatory tablets help a lot and some gel .
I found the worst thing you can do is not try some stretching , it seizes up and feels worse (well it did in my case).
For a simpler breakdown to diagnosis, if there’s local acute back pain only without radiation to legs - then it’s likely pulled muscle. If there is radiation to legs - possible sciatica. If there is pain and it is relieved by positional change (from standing to sitting) it could be spinal stenosis. If it’s a chronic diffuse pain with fever, weight loss and other symptoms then it would be good to see a doctor. Fracture is a possibility if pain is die to trauma.

Oh my
Well, I’m on my feet all day working in a machine shop and once I get home I’m taking care of my mother and her animals. Pain is most likely sore, knotted muscle between my shoulder blades. Mostly achy down the spine. Just need to set up an appointment with my chiropractor, dunno how much it’s gonna cost
Check with your insurance provider. It may be at least partially covered. Bio-freeze is my favorite topical pain reliever, btw.
Bro , I suffer from that alot. I think it mainly comes from the way I sleep but I used to have problems with my posture . It hurts like hell
Possible that it’s from work. Maybe from doing repetitive tasks or maintaining same posture
I’m bending into a machine, be it a Haas ST30 Lathe or Haas VF-4 Vertical Mill, to load and unload pieces of steel or aluminum. Lots of repetition and sometimes heavy lifting. What sucks tho is sweeping the shop once I finish up my job and there isn’t anymore work to do lol
Perhaps while you’re doing the lifting, the muscles contract and relax, but it’s still a lot of strain. Then once you stop, the muscles cramp up and thats where you’re at. Maybe there’s some kind of stretching you can do to get the muscles to relax.
I remember i was in the gym once and decided to waste myself doing chinup. I didn’t even do that many, but i was out of practice. My muscles got so tense that I was like a statue for two days.
Ahahaaaaa, I remember a couple times there I went balls to the wall and fucked myself up. I sat next to my window unit ac fucking plastered in icyhot and in fetal position. Good times lmfao.
I do weight training as well but not anything so strong. 20 reps of one arm dumbells 25lbs+ each arm. That shouldn’t have anything to do with my back though
That’s the thing, you gotta approach things in moderation and then it’s not that bad. I just went all in on first attempt.
Perhaps you can do some decompression stretches during brakes or whatnot and maybe it’ll help
How’s your back doing?
It broke
He’s in the hospital
Thats unfortunate. I hope the docs can fix him up
I am the doctor
Then i know he’s in good hands. Just don’t get banned
