They didn’t retcon anything. The comic with Raphael was never Canon. I think. Right?
Maybe maybe not but either way it conflicts with the elder having it unless the elder went back and took on the same tribe this “other part of the hemisphere predator” faced which is idk but the comics explanation was better for the back story of it

I think that is what will be the case. The animated scene at the end shows the predator ship coming back to the tribe.
