My idea of balance

So, being a pretty decent Predator player and a monster Fireteam one(this is sarcasm because you don’t need to be even average to win with it), this is my ideea of balance:

Fireteam:
*Reinforcements

  • cooldown ranges from 20 seconds to 50 seconds, this gives the Predator enough time to actaullly counter it.
  • limit of revives: -if 3 players are alive they can only spawn one team member.(50 seconds)
    -if 2 players are alive they can only spawn one team member.(35 seconds)
    -if 1 player is alive he can spawn only two team members (20 seconds)
    (in this way, the Fireteam will think twice if they want to use Reinforcements now or later and they won’t see death as merely a cooldown for them to be revived, death to them would become serious)
  • can be used only once per match
    -Players are respawned with only one medical syringe and only the primary weapon.

*Knife
-only Assault class can parry.
*Marking the Predator
-as soon as the Predator goes out of sight, there is a mark cooldown of 15 seconds

Predator:

*Health and Energy
-both increased with 10% for the Scout and Hunter class

*Melee Weapons.
-each time the Predator hits a fireteam member with his melee weapons, the fireteam member loses 5% of his movement speed, this stacks until 40% for 5 seconds.

*Combistick
-berseker Predator can no longer use the combistick

Predator has now the ability to zoom in

Optional:
Change the disc mechanics, remove the club with the speargun from AVP2 (the game).

If this would happen I think the game would be way more balanced…

Some of those are good, mainly the ideas of the revive cool down. Some of the values I think are too high, ie giving the Predator a 10% increase is probably too high for a single patch. Also not sure it’d be fair to remove the combistick from Zerker. Maybe increase his stamina drain tho? Idk as I’m not sold on him being OP/UP.

The problem with any large sweeping changes is we need to see the backend data. A lot of the same things being said now(the Predator is too weak, FT too strong, Pred weapons weak, FT wins too much) was said during the trial and the backend data didn’t reflect it.

Time will tell, but u have some interesting ideas for sure.

To be honest I had zero complaints about the Beta Predator, it felt pretty balanced, I still hated the Reinforcements but I could tolerate it having the combistick damage and managing to weaken them with the caster and then go combistick…

Maybe 10% it;s a bit too much but I would still give an energy buff, or, going invisible doesn’t instantly draw like 5% of your total energy…

Yea I think values to energy consumption could use tweaking. Considering how vital it is to the Predator and how much of his equipment relies on it.

INCREDIBLY stupid idea. The stick itself is not an OP! She is strong only in the hands of a berserker. I have already put forward the idea that if you make a berserker much stronger physically but slower so that the group can run away from it on the ground, solve the problem when it flies into you and turns into a fucking helicopter. It is impossible to limit the use of something by a predator simply because. It’s like saying, “A soldier cannot use any weapon because he cannot.” No, the idea of ​​limiting the arsenal leads to 2 problems.

  1. What the hell? Why should some mystical powers generally limit my imagination as a player?

Regarding the revival with 1 syringe, it is debatable that syringes can be found on the map and this is not long. But if a resurrected member of the detachment receives a fine for MAXIMUM health, this is a sure thing. Now you either play at times more accurately or die from any sneeze. Justice.

I don’t think that the Combistick is that much different from the Wrist Blades when it came to Berserker, with the slow buff that I mentioned the Wrist Blades would be better and more people would use it instead of combistick.
If you nerf the Berserker stamina then you nerf all his melee attacks which can lead to way more complications…
But my main focus is on the Reinforcements more than anything else…

I dont think the revive needs to change that much. If 1 guy revives the whole team it should be 20 second to bring them back (regardless of goe many died, and they should come back with everything) but they fresh revives should have to spawn at the original spawn zone, leaving the guy who saved them to try and regroup. This would explain why the revived players have everything restocked, because they arent just respawn, but “reinforcements” from another chopper. The pred should also though get an ability to return to their ship to restock, takes a few seconds, but exited fully heals the predator and gives him everything, but only once just like the respawn.
