My personal thoughts on the viking predator

Cosmetic wise, I think he is awesome! I love the engravings, the horns, the fur, their all awesome but I’m in the middle on how he plays. The battle axe is a cool addition to the predators arsenal but I cant hit a thing with it!. I do see that this could be a trade off for its overwhelming damage but it won’t matter if I cant apply it. Now I could try to sneak up on them but it’s not easy to do that with a 250 pound bullet sponge. But when I have hit my swings, they have always left me satisfied. I think the axe might be fine as long as it doesn’t become another war club. His speed seems somewhat fair considering he a viking but it can be a HUGE problem retreating. I’m not to shure about his health, it may just be me but the fire team has been outputting alot of damage, even for the viking.

Overall, I think he’s cool. The perk slots are fine (plz dont lower it) his mask is cool, but his skills on "the battle field " need some tweaking.

I give him a 6/10.

I played with him a bit recently and think he’s too weak overall.

He has ‘max health’ stat but gets mowed down faster than other Predators.

The Viking suffers from abysmal movement and attack swing speeds, has nearly no stamina and his armor’s battery drains hella fast so he can’t stay cloaked nor use thermal vision for very long.

Because he moves slow and drains battery cells too fast it’s very difficult to sneak up on FT.

The Viking’s stamina is bad in conjunction with his slow attack speeds that he swings only a couple times and is winded, plus misses attacks due to speed and poor enemy lock-on while swinging that the Viking is just a big, slow shoot me sign that’s worse than the Berserker.

i’d say i’ve played enough of him to get the gist using a few diffrent weapons so let’s start with the axe

this weapon is actually trash it doens’t really work unless your using net gun w/ fast hands this lets you net someone for the slow/root and then you can land the one hit wonder of the L2 and you do this on repeat the R1 is worthless and does no dmg as far as i’m concerned compared to the L2 where so far 2 hits is all it takes to down anyone it seems

then we have the viking so his massive hp pool + melee dmg amp seem to point towards you probably didn’t guess it

The war club class

the main problem the war club carries is that the attacks are so slow that you’d never live long enough to do the whole thing it has much better tracking than it use to unles the FT tries to circle strafe you it won’t miss

now the viking legitmattly has enough hp and stam with adrenal to do the whole combo on someone and the full combo does more than 190 dmg which kills just about everyone it’s gonna cost you like 50% of your hp but that’s what large pouch is for you could also do

Katana

with the katana you could pretty much just do one or to taps the whole game and just trade again with you absurd hp pool and the first hit of the katana costs no stam you just bleed them out Vik has the highest % melee mod of all the classess so you can do some serious poke job with him this way i’d suggest taking adrenal if you do this

but don’t take his axe it just doesn’t fit him actually

he does suffer from all the issues zerker has but he has more perk points so he can funnily enough do more diverse builds which is great but in all cases your probably taking adrenal
