Need some guidance

Howdy, been awhile since I played. Played a couple games in both privates as pred/ FT to figure out controls and how everything works again.
Played in pubs and got annihilated I mean instant melt, obj was abandoned, spotted showing up on my screen 15 times in a 6 sec period (holy moly!), Played FT had a blast.

I’m aware of the huge nerfs to pred but I’m hoping to maybe get some advice/ guidance on how to do better, my main load out is:
Scout: Disciplined
Weapons:
Bow (for ranged duh)
Combi (for melee duh)
Healing kit
Audio lure
Perks:
impenetrable
Light bender
Branch master

I know it’s not really “meta” and that Bow/Combi got a nerf but any advice would be awesome or if someone who is a Pred main wants to teach me in game that would be awesome possum

Wolf +enranged, prim.hand Held plasma caster, sec. Bow, gear Heal, wrist lounch, perks- Down range, medic, adrenal boost or height advantage… Its ok for ,Sniper, And stealth …as it’s all nerfed, try not to rush and take advantage when someone lingers alone, take advantage of the moments of surprise 2x,slash and jump, you can always return to them and whenever you meet a pig, kill it, it will come in handy when you run on the way back

if it’s a good FT, you’ll go crazy and self-destruct in the finale, but it can be done if you’ve had a nervous breakdown in elden ring or darksouls, you’ll enjoy it🤤🔥🌄🌄🌄

i am proud of you for using scout. very proud indeed. however, i think that you have underestimated him greatly.

my loadout for him is as follow:

scout - analytic

smart disc, hand held plasma caster (used to be bow until it got nerfed)

heal kit, audio lure

dithered lens, down range, large pouch

scout is the second fastest predator in the game (closely behind wolf if i am remembering correctly) and is very good at bunny hop attacks. hit and run, you know. he might not have much health, but his bullet damage resistance makes up for it. the stamina and leap distance is his most powerful ability in my opinion.

before the recent patch, i would jump around and spam the bow and if my health got low, id go hide and use the disc. however ive had to adapt to using the pistol instead of the bow but the playstyle is essentially the same, with the downside of the pistols range being shorter than the bow.

the disc you just have to be good with.

I like using the scouts Disciplined specialization and the audio lures to make them think in one place and poking them from the back with the bow, though sometimes that does seem to work cause they seem to seem me anyway even if cloaked :(

Cloak is visible when you move, even a little bit. You’re never 100% invisible. Plus you still make sounds even when using Disciplined, specifically your footsteps, sound of the bow being drawn, and movement in the trees.
