Nerf vegetation!

After patch 2.05 in quick plays it seems as if the plants and the smaller branches where the Predator is predkouring through are immune to bullets, or is it suppose to be like this after the patch?
When i go alone in private matches and test shooting the plants it works just fine, they get destroyed.

Yeah, this keeps happening for me, when i queue up for hunt matches all the plants and branches are indestructable, which means if a Predator is in the trees he/she can’t be touched unless you got explosives.
Any news on this? @OldKingHamlet

In clash i noticed that too man?

Unless ur talking about both HUNT AND CLASH…

In hunt it seems like i can still tear trough branches with my semi auto sniper lmao.

I think if this happens more in HUNT now it might be a bug or might be a feature

I think this is a bug, otherwise i’d only play as Predator and never leave the trees. If you play private matches you can destroy the plants and branches.

I’ve been trying this out several times now in hunt matches with random players. When i play as the Predator i climb up in a tree and hide behind one of the smaller branches that serves as protection, the branches are indestructable and the Fireteam can’t hit you, unless they use explosives. You can just keep staying behind those branches and shoot at the Fireteam and they can’t do much against you.
In private matches you can destroy them.

I think something crazy happened with those branches after 2.05 @OldKingHamlet

Introducing the newest FT member…

The attack Corgi

They hate vegitation with a fiery passion

Just throw them up in a tree and bye bye branches

So PS players can destroy plants and branches but not PC players?
I played as the Predator and had 2x PS and 2x PC players in the Fireteam, i stood still behind branches and beamed them with the laser just for fun, and they couldn’t hit me.

I tried shooting everty branch on Overgrowth and nothing happened to them! I still see chip debris and movement of branches and leaves in trees though.
Still i can’t tell you the number of times ive been dead shot distance from a pred in the trees but I only him with one bullet because everything else got blocked.
This is in Public.

I haven’t seen any confirmation from OKH that this issue has been forwarded, but i hope they are working on it. It can be a little frustrating as FT when a Predator is in the trees shooting at you and you can’t shoot back. On the other hand it’s pretty handy whe nyou play as the Predator. :P

As someone who runs Height Advantage and likes to spend alot of time in the trees, I can assure you I’m still getting lit up by Fireteam. And when playing as Fireteam I’m still able to hit tree dwelling Predators…

You can still die when traversing through the trees and when you stand on the branches, but if you hide behind the smaller ones you cannot be hit by bullets, only explosions.
As for the Fireteam, the smaller branches in quick matches with random people are indestructable. You can still shoot the Predator if it stands in the gaps between the smaller branches.

It’s strange how it works fine in Private Matches, but in public matches it doesn’t?? But yeah, having just played a round on Backwater as Fireteam I can confirm that foilage and tree branches cannot be destroyed anymore. You can still land shots on enemies, but the bullets won’t destroy the bushes etc

Why oh why does every single fucking patch break something like this? I’m going to stab my eyes out and drink some bleach, brb.

Yeah, i don’t know how something can break when you fix something else, i have a brother and a mother who works as programmers, maybe i should ask them sometime if they know. xD

Please do

It would help everyone understand

In the world of programming in iterative states, for one to process something that breaks a whole system it will likely go through with them knowing it. Regardless, if they are more knowledgable about why it breaks, the more power to them. There is no moral dilemma, their thought process is that they or someone else can tackle it if they have appropriate acknowledge it. Which im sure they will be able to openly communicate between developers.

Its more about how much time some ONE has to make what is needed to get a job done vs the time it will take to fix it in it’s entirety. And the CEO and Project managers know this. This is software developement. Bugs will exist regardless of whether ONE can deal with it programattic wise.

No one company EVER has the resources to fix anything completely (because there are just too many variables to find every bug) and have it magically be flawless in a complex system and its always an uphill battle to fix it.

Unfortunately the design bible that they wrote will have to be the one thing that they stand by in yearly intervals. This dictates how their management manages their company- that is being assholes or saints to their own people.

But what i described is just an observable fact which changes all the time based on what will be a good selling point for their company or PR department and is usually something that internal departments battle constantly within themselves.

no doubt its a circus man.
And if their not union, at least employees have better jobs to look forward to.
