I think you’re talking about Weylands assistant and no he did not get out. They used a knife and the knife was cut instead.

It’s a gameplay mechanic to be able to free your team in a pinch. In Predator 2, Harrigan frees himself with the smart disk. In AVP the only one who frees themselves was Grid and that was by its acidic blood.

One of the knives in the game is made from a Predator’s wrist blade but tying stats to them of course would make people use the obviously effective one. Damage or not it’s got the obvious utility. It also wasn’t around when the game launched so it had no way of affecting how the game worked. It’s also the only melee weapon like this. Had we been able to use an OWLF knife, a broken smart disk, a Predator’s wrist blade, or had an acid launcher (I guess) things might’ve been different.

I once got a FT down from the damage of the netgun alone, he was probably very low on HP, same with traps.

I’ve actually downed many potatoes with the net gun. It’s fun, lots dc tho, nobody likes net after net till death.
