So what are your instances of underestimating somebody and losing as a result?
Without traps or a net gun, stopping a single good player from escaping is actually quite difficult.
Define ‘good’, cos back in my day (when the plasmacaster was like 3x as powerful as it is now) the ‘good’ players would be the ones rushing in and trying to knife me. More often than not, they’d get so caught up trying to get me that they completely missed the exfil XD
I’m assuming the intent is to exfil, and “forgetting” about how much time you have would not be a good players move.
Define “powerful”, because I have no clue when the caster was 3x better in any aspect.
Back before the cleo pred was released, the caster used to do a hell of a lot more damage. If you put down range and stalker on nowadays, that’s more or less the equivalent of what it used to do without those perks. Keep in mind that i don’t have the exact numbers, but the weapon has definitely been nerfed.

Kinda happened to me today, I attacked the last FT member with the wirstblades to have a fight, instead of kill him right away, but he was running fast and running good, so I switched to the sickle, but he still managed to get to the chopper.
He did good.

There can be some people who talk a load of shit and tell you to fight them up close all game for a knife fight or whatever and then when you finally go up close to try an use only your wrist blades what do they do?
Run away and jump over staircases on loops etc and throw grenades, only try to shoot you, fire impact grenades every time they jump off a banister.

And then they still get annoyed as soon as you pull out the Bow and kill them with 3 shots out of 3🤣
