New Aliens vs Predator

Has anyone heard anything about a new AvP game in the works? Ive only heard it from one source which I can’t say is a concrete source or not. There wasn’t much detail since its supposedly in the early stages.

I like the predator style gameplay of this game meaning melee style, predkour, etc. Compared to Avp 2010 where the melee was pretty basic and the handling (climbing or jumping on trees and other surfaces) wasn’t as good as this game and have yet to see one better. I would hope they keep this style for predator controls in any future games.articles

That would be badass but they won’t even pit it on the ps store as a classic 😑 but they have it to Xbox which is too bad I’d be on that multiplayer mode as much or more than PHG

I want the remaster of my beloved AVP2 (2001) first. But that will never happen.

Really don’t expect a AVP game for a while.

Shit why stop there they should release a remastered AVP bundle on the ps store with online servers. Idk if thas possible since the first 2 were on PC but if it was possible I’d pay 60-80 bucks with no hesitation. I wonder why they haven’t tho i mean if doom was able to do that they would be able to do AVP no?

You can get that…if you wanna pay i think it was 800-1000+ for the Sega arcade device that was released not too long ago but I would be down for that too. Im ashamed to say I’ve never played that one especially since I’ve played all the others

AvP 2010 is my favourite game of all time, not that I ignore all of the flaws, it’s just that I love it

but I don’t think a remaster would be needed, the game still holds up today for graphic and gameplay,
a remaster of AVP2 (2001) on the other hand would be perfect

or even better, a new game
with maybe open maps in which you could hunt as a Predator and collect trophies growing of ranks,
control different types of xenomorph,
and as marine… being a marine I guess

But I think that would need a lot of budget, and I don’t know how big are the chances of that.

For now I’ll enjoy Hunting Grounds hoping for the best.

AVP 2010 still looks surprisingly decent on pc, but the multiplayer’s totally dead - not that that’smuch of a surprise. It’s an awesome game for the aliens and marines, but God, do I hate, hate, hate the Predator part. The pred designs look god awful, and the campaign is easily the worst one of the three.

If there really is a new AVP game coming out, I can only hope that they do the Predator series justice. The previous games all felt like an Alien game with predators tacked on for the hell of it.

There should be a sequel for Avp extinction since it’s basically halo wars for Avp fans.

When i was younger i strayed away from that game cus the red alert type game it was but after there wasn’t much other games when browsing at gamestop, i decided to try it and surprisingly liked it a lot

PHG feels to stiff in my opinion, I would prefer the more fluid movement from Concrete Jungle.

But there are a few things in Concrete Jungle that PHG does slightly better in some cases, like leaping.
Sure leaping in this game is wonky a really frustrating some times, but in Concrete Jungle you had to stand still hold it and you didn’t get as much horizontal movement.

Really? Concrete jungle was ok it reminded me of the amazing spider man from ps1 not that its bad but thas wut it reminded me of.

The biggest difference tho is concrete jungle was completely different as far as environment, using buildings, bridges, etc. While PHG is focused more on trees and jungle terrain which i like.

If theres a way to smooth out this games style i think it would be one of the better predator controls/movement. I was comparing to avp 2010 mainly because of the similarity in using jungle environments.

I was mainly comparing how fluid Concrete Jungle is compared to how stiff PHG feels.
I feel like I’m still playing as FT while controlling the Predator.

Now when it comes down to environments AVP should always have unique and different environments. These different environments would include indoors, and we all know how bad it is to go indoors as the Predator in PHG.

All in all the Predator has to be able to adapt to any environment or situation and PHG’s Predator system doesn’t feel like it can do that. At least not now anyways.
