New balance idea

The purpose of this is a more realistic feel to the game, I read Stalking shadows and understand that the ft can and will mess a predator up if they make a mistake. The predator is to remain silent and stealthy. Attacking at the right moment and not giving its position away.

Fireteam:
Shotguns: 3 shot down berserkers at close range.

Sniper: 2 shot down berserker any range, Increased recoil. Forced long distance scopes.

Assault rifle: increased recoil, buff to damage by 1.5x current.

Grenade: 2 hit kill.

Predator:

Remove clicking within 100 yards of ft with an added option to make a clicking noise.

Replace stomping with light footsteps similar to ft foot steps.

Remove weapon glow when firing ranged weapons.

Fully charged caster is 1 shot kill, charges slightly faster. Same energy burn.

Combi throw is 1 shot kill.

Bow is 2 shot kill.

Handheld caster is 4 shot kill.

Wrist blades 4 hit kill

Traps require other team member to remove takes 10 seconds.

Nets always pin in place and take 10 seconds to escape.

Predator visibility is almost invisible from 100 yards or more when moving. Same as now within 100 yards.

All other mele weapons are 2 hit kill.

For the love of god remove parry itā€™s rediculous. I specified the 2 hit shotgun buff for this reason.

The masks health and disks health would need increased drematically.

Any opinions are welcome here keep it calm and respectful please. I wanted to add the amazing stealth of a predator into the game without making it unfair for the ft.

Iā€™d be OK with something like this as a separate game-mode.

I see youā€™re intending to drastically reduce ā€˜time to killā€™, so as to remove any kind of ā€˜carelessā€™ play style.

I think some people will really like this emphasis on quick deaths.
But no doubt some people will really hate it as well.

ā€œOne-shot > Game Overā€ makes for a particularly unpleasant game for some people.

I think for something like this to work, it would have to be restricted on smaller maps with different missions, and have ā€˜roundsā€™ (similar to Counter Strike). So you donā€™t have to go back to looking for a new game when you die quickly. Which will remove the ā€˜upsetā€™ of dying quickly.

I was more just compensating the stealth and weapon buffs needed For a realistic predator game play with the glass cannon. Effect. But because thereā€™s 4 super buffed soldiers I compensated with super stealth and much better trap mechanics.

Sounds like these would be great options for private matches.

Realistically the fire team escaping with 1 or 2 guys down isnā€™t considered a loss to The predator. Heā€™s there to hunt the best of the best. It shouldnā€™t be his expectation to get them all. But I think this style of fighting is far more true to the story stalking shadows. The disk cut someoneā€™s head clean off. Caster could blow you into pieces. But that being said. The team was always able to escape. Dutch only lost his entire team to the best of the best.

Most of the time the ft downed the predator. Sometimes suffering casualties. Especially when they got leap slammed and thought it was artillery fire or a bomb went off.

Usually the predators died because they got cocky granted, but a female predator jumped in and killed Dutchā€™s entire team, pinned him to a wall with a net, looked right at him face to face, then spared him.

I wouldnā€™t mind trying this. Hit scan weapons and low pc graphics would definitely need a change. It would definitely be more among the lines of the lore, although you might be making the predator a little too squishy.

City Hunter got shot 9 times point blank with a shotgun and still wasnā€™t dead.

That could (very big IF) in a ranked scenarios with premade teams vs good predators. Put that in live and youā€™ll get a massive shit show.

Also, 1 shoot mechanics? No damn way, never! Thereā€™s nothing more stupid then getting 1 shot out of nowhere. Nothing will get me to quit faster then this.

To balance this game very few things are needed:

  • nerf snipers
  • nerf ft sustain
  • absolutly nerf elder sword damage
  • nerf predā€™s melee tracking with all weapins except for combi stick and war club
  • buff all the range weapon of pred (faster arrows , plasma gun more damage, plasma caster less time to charge, smart disc without the inverted controlls)
  • combi throw damage nerf

After these changes I think the game will become decently balanced for both low snd high level skill matches.

As a separate gamemode yes but 4 hit kill with melee? And 3 shotgun shots down a zerk? Not crazy realistic my guy

For pred - any melee is 2 hit KILL( no revives and no reinforcements in this game) Small plasma blast is a down charged plasma is a KILL bow is a 2 shot down and spear throw is a kill

Fireteam - half a clip is a pred kill (any assualt rifle)
2xl 6 Shots Is pred kill
Glocc and 1911 = full extended mag = pred kill
2 grenade hits = pred kill
Shotgun to the face= mask off and half health gone

Butttt stealth for pred will be increased by 1000x less noise when moving always completely invise when cloaked has scary voice options

Eyes glow still
Preds will now have a large chance of not being stunned from parry and knife damage is decreased

I actually like that balance idea, it would make the gaem super interesting and much less arcade. You know what I would add? Long claim prevents that FT member to be reinforced. With buffed guns, long claim would ba a suicide mission, but worth trying.

Itā€™s the perspective by a guy that play since day one for more than 500 hours in any situations, solo as ft , as pred , as premade ft and in custom with the best players in this game. I donā€™t know you all want to go brain dead melee?

Well if the multiple in one melee hits thing didnt happen so often, most melee fights would require roughly 4-5 hits. Thats already alot. enough to make melee near worthless.

try to use the elder sword and search a pub game, you will win 80% of your game by pressing left click of mouseā€¦wow good gameplay
