New Mode, I had fun tbh

I only played and recorded one (1st) game and it was fun for me, it is different, like way different from what we’ve been used to but I honestly had fun in that first match.

I dont know whats triggering “Become the Predator” mode but I was offered one and I took it.
By default it was my City Hunter which was nerfed so I have no clue what my loadout was perks wise.
Even my tints werent there lol.
Also that floating arrow around my Pred, TF was that? xD

Post your thoughts guys, I only had one match so far.

Played a couple of matches and overall it’s pretty fun when it works however I’ve had quite a lot of bugs with it. So far I’ve been getting like 15-20 kills every match or so and playing as pred is enjoyable in a kill everyone because they’re paper sort of way.

I’m loving it so far. Definitely gonna play it more than hunt.

It does look fun especially if you’re hogging Pred time. It’s totally different from the hunt a d I think that’s a good thing. It will attract new players. While I wanted a 2 pred v 6-8 FT mode (I hope it’s still planned), I do think this is a good choice overall.

honestly i think its one of the most fun i had on this game in months i love it. its jumped back into my second fav game i own.

Same here bro. I dont remember the last time I had this much fun in PHG.
Maybe vs some salty players but thats because of them, not because of the gsme mode.

the short:

i love how random it is.

The long:

i love how at any moment the game can go either way i love the low ttk for both the predator’s kill time and Death time. it makes it more chaos and i fucking love that. i also love that it makes you rethink how to play the game, i love pvp type games and now its starting to blend a bit better into this mixing pot we call predator hunting grounds. i love that the kit that would normaly be useless serves a reason to be used now such as smokes. befor theres no reason to take them now theres a pretty great use too them
i love that the fire team cant mud up making the predators thermal vision a real upgrade now and its so fun to either fuck things up quickly or get fucked from no where, at no point playing clash can i say. yup we won 100% because the game can flip THAT fast and its fucking beautiful and i love it…

I think it is too fast, to be honest. They should make Spawn distances be slightly further away so a team has time to reset. And spawns should happen in waves so everyone spawns together.

Also, Premade PC teams really ruin the fun for randoms I can see a lot of PS4 players turning off crossplay.

Like there are no preamdes on PS that are good players. If you end up against them you will melt just as well…

So is there respawning in this mode? AI as well? I can’t get on to play for another 10 hours or so to check.
FT vs. FT makes me think that classes like recon and scout will be fairly useless. Can anyone help me out?

It kinda reminds me of my Unreal Tournament II days when we played in Lan. Capture the flag was the favorite mode among us.

Ok, so it looks like only some cases are even viable unless you want to become a liability for the team which kind of sucks. I’ll give it a go to see for myself, but I’m a bit disheartened after watching it, to be honest.
I was hoping that AI would still be around to make it a bit more chaotic/balanced

The game should move as far away from the concept of AI as possible because the AI are shit. So this is a step in the right direction now that we know 4v4 and pred v pred is doable. Shame its so fast paced though. Should’ve gone for limited respawns instead of king of the hill.

Mode was a complete rush job, new map is great though. Look at that elevator, its just wasted on Hunt missions.
