New mode suggestion: King of the Hill / Elite Hunt

Players: 8-16 (7-15 FT vs 1 predator) NO AI.
Timer: 30-60 minutes
Number of Rounds: unlimited, maximum round timer of 10 minutes.

Premise: The game starts by selecting a random player to play as the predator for the first round.
All other players are spawned in random locations around a full size map.

One round consists of the predator trying to kill as many FT members as possible to claim points and xp.

The fireteams goal is to survive as long as humanly possible by grouping together to survive for a whole 10 minute round, or by killing the predator.
Points and xp are awarded to FT players for doing damage to the predator, outlasting other players, offering healing and ammo pouches and reviving fallen team mates.

Fireteam players have one life and must spectate for the rest of the round if they are eliminated.

The round ends when -

*The fireteam is eliminated
*The predator is eliminated
*The 10 minute round timer is reached

At the end of the round, the fireteam player who scored the most points that round is selected to play as the predator and after a 20 second intermission where a new class can be selected and XP is awarded, a new round is started with the new predator.

The idea behind the game mode is based on “The Hidden: Source”, and the “Predator Hunt” mode from the 2010 AVP game.

By giving the most victorious FT players a shot at being the predator next round, it encourages smart team play rather than just having a “winner stays on” system where you might get a predator player who only mains predator dominating and playing the predator every round.

The mode should allow for players to connect mid-game, and leave at the end of a round with no penalty. This will keep the flow of the game going even when there are poor connections or rage quitters and would allow for people with limited time to drop in and out without having to complete a full match for xp rewards.

The mode itself could come with balancing issues though, especially when 1 predator is up against 15 fireteam members so it may well be a case of having SET CLASSES just for the mode so it can be tweaked and balanced.

Thoughts?

I would end up being ungrateful person and ignorant if i just answered planely, no.

But i have to disagree in adding that type of game mode as it would make the game not an actual asymmetrical game rather more of a PVP Team deathmatch type of stuff…

Generally speaking i think people would enjoy hunting in groups of pred… so 3 preds taking on either 12 people or 16…
