New mode

I don’t like the insane rush of the original mode. Fireteam can sometimes complete objectives in 4 minutes. Scouts can run so fast it’s almost impossible for the pred to stop objectives from getting done.

It’s not hunting. It’s a race.

I want a true death match mode. No escaping. The only objective is to kill, or capture the predator. Objectives for Fireteam would include setting gorilla warfare traps seen in the first movie to hurt, or trap the predator.

And give death match a unique map with buildings that can be destroyed with enough damage done to them.

I think this would be an intense scary mode for both sides. Right now Fireteam is too easy. It’s just a mad rush that doesn’t hold the spirit of the predator franchise.

OP, deathmatch traditionally refers to players respawning until one hits max score in the match.

lol You got me worried for a second imagining gauntlet as just a standard team deathmatch, basically giving us a worse version of Clash.

Traps as FT objectives that actually involve interaction with the pred player instead of “rubadubdub Hey voodoo go collect water samples” would be great.

No way illfonic can pull off destructible buildings though.

Thanks. Destructible buildings would probably be tough. Maybe not? All you gotta do is make a box in separate peices, and add collision movement to it. Much in the same way AI rag dolls.

Buildings would have to be remade as their own meshes. They could be lazy and just make it all particle effects but either way I think it would worsen performance on consoles once people start firing rockets into sheds at backwater.

I just want vehicles and a map/mode to support it that’s hopefully not an escort mission but hey new objectives are new objectives.

I basically want Battlefield with a pred or two thrown in the mix. A decent shooter that can stand on its own. So you kinda forget the pred is actually in the game and then BAM. You see an enemy soldier get thrown across the room and then a red light shines into your eyes from the darkness.

This game would literally implode with destructible buildings. They can’t even make predkour work. Or the bow.

A simple hunt mode with no objectives and no timer would be good and even these devs could easily implement it.

It’s just a simple 4 v 1 till one team wins. Then there’s the option to rotate the pred player without having to start a whole new lobby. So everyone can have a turn and just keep playing till someone leaves.

Yes. This is an actual video of me preparing to raise the bar. On that particular day we were all animated characters.

Why do people think this is a good idea…

…because it would at least be a nice option to have in private matches. You would have all the time you need to stalk your prey. One of the big complaints is people rushing missions or 15 mins being too short.

In a simple kill or be killed, Id rather it be an 8 v 2 or 12 v 3.

Or the Predkour Master trophy/achievement

One thing that might make speedruning missions a thing of the past would be to add in a second primary mission to some of these VARY SHORT missions.
Then we could extend the 15 minute timer into maybe 20-30 minutes

Have all options available in private matches.
