New Player with a Few Q

hey, im playing on PC and I have a quick few questions.

  1. Is there a way to use a flightstick throttle to slow walking speed? Like I can use it in just about any other game just wondering if anyone else out there knows how to use the throttle to walk slower. seeing how sound is so important in this game it would seem only logical to be able to slow youre footsteps. especially as a predator.
  2. is there a way to crouch while in a tree as a predator?
  3. is there a way to go 1st person as predator? It seems im stuck in 3rd person.

Sound is important you’re right, but walking slowly won’t solve your problems, you’ll just get melted because of the Fireteam hearing all the clicking, especially with a decent headset with surround sound.

  2. Yes you can crouch on a tree branch as you would normally on the ground, when crouched your aim can zoom in a bit with ranged weapons.

  3. No pred can only see in 3rd person, FT is 1st person.

why use a fight stick on PC? its just going to slow your accuracy. But whatever, sure it does. Easing the stick makes you walk. You could also use a keyboard to walk if you mash the “w” key to move forward.

yes just press and hold C . Dont double press it, you will drop from the tree

only third person sadly

What class allows you to crouch in trees? I don’t get that function at all. My crouch is assigned C while my disengage tree is T. Never mind its actually single tap dismount.

I hate to say it but the Keybinds don’t say Crouch in Trees, only Stealth Dismount which technically doesn’t make sense. You’re not dismounting stealth you’re dismounting a tree.

yes, until the branch got destroyed. But I dont recommend going on trees anyways

But crouching in trees while cloaked will make you invisible faster no?

Even when most of the branches are destroyed you seem to get some protection, I have had pred dead on shot and the bullets don’t register

Some branches “break” to the fire team but remain visible to the predator. When that happen the predator can stay there and plasma or bow while hiding behind the invisible hit box of the branch.
Next level tactics till 1 fire team makes 4 steps to the left or right and lights ur arse up lol

im assuming the tech behind this keyboard youre talking about is probably a “stepping/throttle” like the ones on HOSTAS or regular joystick used for vehicle throttles. I use my flightstick’s fuel throttle to walk in battlefield and it works flawlessly. I cant seem to get it to work for this game yet. anyways, heres to trying.!

Im hunter and crouch in trees with C, and i use crouch toggle. also changes from run to walk in trees whenc crouched, but moving still stands up when crouched but sitting still is crouched… IDK, just another janky thing but yeh it works
