Since I enjoy the melee aspect in most games I’m running (switching between just 'cause) Berserker, Viking & Samurai using the staff and katana and on all I use the ‘less bullet dmg’ and on all (except Berserker due to cap limit) extra melee dmg.
But I’ve liked the Samurai+Katana combo so far and I’ve been doing pretty well.
won most games so far. Could just be bad matchups or what-not.
I’m also using the Ghost “Specc” where I deal increased melee dmg when striking from cloaked.
I usually get 1 down in seconds, run away and then harass the others helping the downed one.
My playstyle is pretty agressive, but that’s what I like.
To feel the thrill of running in not knowing if I’ll get gunned down instantly or not.
Managed to get a bunch of stealth-kills this way as well.
I enjoy this playstyle a lot.
Games where it goes too well, or I accidently killed too many too soon I let the remaining one call for reinforcement and/or let them evacuate at the end.
Edit- Ofc, there are those games I’ve been gunned down instantly.
But like I mentioned before, it’s the thrill that makes it so much more enjoyable to me.

The axe is a lot of fun.
I started running around with it and had a lot of fun.
But after a while of paying around with other melee weapons I just found the sword to fit me more.
Nice to see others enjoying the axe as well.

I mainly use it, to scare people into confined spaces which does sound bad at first, but the disc turns that safety into a death trap lol.

I know right? I’ve had to ease back when I run it. Let them get each other up. The DPS is fucking amazing. I feel like a predator again. Better enjoy before the nerfs though because God forbid the predator be good. Gotta cradle the FT’s balls.

Don’t be so sure we get nerfs. Devs have said before they knew the game favored FT. When all is said and done we might find this pretty balanced.

I recently tried the Wrathful Viking one, tried using the ax and it went bad up 'til the evac. I didn’t know the Overhead swing insta-downed with Fearless, or I must’ve gotten hit and Wrathful proced. I may try another weapon with the build; the ax is amazing, but it’s very high risk as a mistep gives them a lot of time to shoot me, and even with Impenetrable, Viking’s far from durable.
