Valkyrie and Viking should maybe have passives regarding the chainmail parts of their armor.
Like wasn’t chainmail designed to stop penetrating attacks from arrows or Speers? So, why not give them a knife damage resist passive as well as a slight bullet resistance passive.

I think chain mail was for protection against slashing weapons plate armor for piercing BUT I agree that there should be location based damage deflection or absorption depending on if your bullets hit the armor or the exposed areas ECT. Especially for classes like the Berserker who is covered in armor yet it is irrelevant because they get shredded just the same

Chainmail is definitely designed to stop slashing attacks. Plate armor was the one that stops penetration. Both should have had melee damage resistance, among another envisioned passive. Like perhaps decreased damage taken from Fireteam after a few seconds or something like that.
