Bro I love that game. The dialogue writing is absolutely amazing. Have you ever seen the videos showing that they had a bunch of cut content?

Many of the people involved with that game passed away I think, but I would love to have seen the full original version and story.
The content was cut because of the memory limitations on the ps1 disk. But the game was supposed to be so much longer and the story was supposed to be different.

I’d love to see that full original idea with current gen tech.

It’s really sad that no game has ever captured that level of dialogue as well as that series.
Soul reaver was a masterpiece.

Case in point on last comment. His best comebacks are copies or what has been said. He knows big words but can’t put them together well

LOL another reflection of yourself :D :D :D

Nah that’s definitely you.

I have. I played every game and know the story well enough, though maybe don’t understand everything well. Weird, but having incomplete games in the beginning paved way for more story.

People were obsessed with plot holes, but supposedly it all connects well.

Crimea River

They did a pretty good job, given the limitations.
It suprises me that I loved that game as a kid.
Because most kids would get bored by that type of story. But I absolutely loved it lmao.

The story gripped be more than any other at the time. Gameplay was so-so, but I needed to know how it all ends and if it hold up.

Deal with the progress, because I am enjoying it :D :D :D

Gameplay was good for what it was honestly.

True, but looking back it’s not that hot. Combat system was lacking until Defiance, although original BO had some depth. Block puzzle were changed environmental, but even that dried up. Even shifting because very rare and lacking in imagination. A lot of potential left no the table. I still like it, but it could have been so much more, just like one other game

How dare you. I still love it.
For a ps1, ps2 game it was great.

I will forever love that series.

Same, but critique is fair. Not too long ago I watched a channel do a no damage run of SR. I still have memories of really being uncomfortable doing the Cathedral and even the Abbey because the enemies would sneak up on you

I’m at my limit. I figured out 8 characters, but I’m probably wrong.

Show me what you have and I’ll tell how close you are to the answer

Mo→Mo
Cup → B
Cylinder→Ti
I DID IT→Rg
Globe → H

We assumed that these were based on symbols from the periodic table. I really don’t know about the globe. I just mixed it with hydrogen.
I just made some crude assumptions about the other four.

I wanna play it again lol. All 3 of em.

yes, periodic table is key for all clues. I suppose you have to be familiar with medicine and chemistry and mythology in some respects. That’s what helped @TheSenate get it. You got two correct, but one for wrong reason. Ti and Mo are correct. I’ll give you a helper: Ti is actually for the globe because it is held by Titan Atlas - Titan - Titanium, so cylinder is something different - look at the whiffs of gas coming from it, that’s part of the clue. Examine it closely for another vital clue. The ‘i dud it’ is much simpler but requires some knowledge of human anatomy and physiology because of the organ left on the floor. The jars are the toughest perhaps. Originally I planned to have bullet holes around the cabinet with green halos about them. Maybe that will help. Good job so far.

What do you think of BO2? Its alternate time line and just barely tangents with SR, but I like the combat options. Telekinesis, grabs and throws, chopping heads, managing crowds, invisibility, offensive linge, and the other power moves. It’s simple, but there are options so it’s not very repetitive either. Even blocking and weapon durability is a decent idea.

Ah sorry man. Only played soul reaver. I fell in love with the series when I first saw the opening for sr1.
Raziel was instantly one of my favorite characters.

Being young I was so obsessed with his revenge that defiance was heartbreaking. But being older now, I get it.
