New Tournament Project (April, May 2022) - Playstation

Hello Guys.
I would like to organize a tournament soon on Playstation.
The purpose of this topic is to see how many would be interested.
The tournament will target the 2 factions (FT and Pred).
If I have a sufficient number of participants, I will get to work to organize it. I’m pretty good at organizing this type of event.
To indicate your interest, can you do like the example below:

  1. zPoliceOfficer_ /Predator
  2. Mister A / Fireteam

This is what I like to see, fans doing what Illfonic won’t.

I’ll see about signing up. It depends on what time rounds would be and I have to really think if I’m stronger as Pred or FT. I’m leaning more towards Pred, but I want to practice a build that would be sufficient in this type of thing, and that will have to wait to see what kind of rule are in place and what is and isn’t allowed on builds. Jelou did good by restricting the broken perks and stacking and made the game as balanced as it could be, so I hope you can do the same.

I already have a good knowledge of the game, builds, etc. Personally, I’m not for limiting the gameplay possibilities offered to players. To do this, I’m going to use the potential of options that the game offers in the private parts to imagine something nice and balanced. I am at your disposal for any idea and also to tell me what you liked in the previous tournament. The more we communicate, the better.

If you look at the rules Jelou made for his, you can get a good grasp of what I’d like to see. If I remember correctly PDLs and Field Medics weren’t allowed, FTs couldn’t have duplicate classes (i.e. two Assault Deadly, two Recon Tracker, etc.), certain perk combinations weren’t allowed and certain classes could only take certain weapons. It was mostly a huge nerf to FT in order to balance out their damage output and ability to stack percentages, and to eliminate the issues found with field medics and PDLs. For Pred I think only axe wasn’t allowed, along with certain class combos like Valk/Ghost/Fearless.

It’s awesome ! These are things that I have already thought about. I will work on this project and I will present it in this topic. I also have a Discord server dedicated to the Event which I will share soon. I remain available for any questions: On PSN: zPoliceOfficer_

At the current state the game is, you’ll find even the best of preds will not win against most decent teams if you allow stuff like 4 dante/support field medics, which the game allows.

Is your tourney, do your own rules, but IMO if is gonna be exactly like pubs, then what’s the point? There needs to be a challenge to make it interesting

Sadly I couldn’t get enough people on my tourney at the end. The irony is that I know a lot of console players didn’t want in because they think against PC is unfair, yet, had we had enough players, I had no doubt the winning team would have been the apples, console players, btw

By God, you gotta make up those matches. Even if it doesn’t mean anything. It’s just killing me not to know the result 😁

I’ve already asked clutch , waiting on response

Me and you both. I hope it happens.

If I remember correctly it was sturmi , clutch , bandido and I forgot the fourth

Infiniteplayz800. (I looked it up 😁)

Oh yeah , I mean I know I had to throw with some all stars and considering I’m a low tier guy I get it that the odds were on them

My munny is still on you. If you don’t win, i can buy the next glitchy DLC 😭. No pressure

Yes, it’s true. I totally agree. But I know from experience that if we limit the possibilities of FT too much, it will scare the players. Afterwards, yes, there will be restrictions, that’s for sure. But you have to go there carefully. I must also take into account the fact that there will certainly be teams of 4 who will register but also random teams.

If appropriate rules are in place, I’ll join. But if it’s gonna be class stacking nonsense or spin-to-win preds, I’ll pass.

Feel free to contact me if you’d like insight and knowledge on this game’s balance and how to level it out with modifiers and restrictions

Teams shouldn’t be scared. The damage output by default is enough to get by, we were doing that long before specializations were introduced. If you honestly NEED a certain perk or spec to get by, can you really call yourself “good”? I think the biggest test to someone’s skill is a tournament that limits you, so you’re not relying on all the clutches the game gives you.
