New Vision Selections

How about the option to change the vision selections within Thermals. I know that everyone is voicing new vision modes but what if the option to adjust target isolation was a possibility?

These are options that could be switched on the fly in thermals. Here’s the catch, you can only use one until the cool down is over.

Hold the target isolation button and it brings up a selection wheel.

Selection 1: FT Isolation
Selection 2: Fauna (Boars)
Selection 3: Muddy Footprints
Selection 4: Sounds/Heavy Breathing
Selection 5: Heartbeats
Selection 6: Target description (displays info about what class/gender/weapon is being utilized)

I think this is a very interesting suggestion, I’d like to test out more than one of your ideas.

The selection wheel for different target isolations being right at the top. The idea of being able to change target types and have some control is really nice.
If I could add one thing, it would be language. Have each target isolation type identified by a Yautja symbol.
Now I don’t actually want to learn an imaginary alien language but I do think the game would benefit from expanding what Yautja there is and assigning symbols to mean specific things. In the future, it might be interesting to have un-lockable doors or other control surfaces by selecting specific symbols in the correct order. This could allow for a large dynamic Yautja spacecraft map.

Sorry got off topic, a couple of your types of isolation give me pause. Footsteps being the example I’ll use, it there were more counters available as gear or perks I think it would be fine but I don’t think there are. It’s very difficult to build a Stealth FT using the poorly defined perks they currently have. Ie. Does Cold Blooded effect footprints? Does Silence effect NPC’s or actually lower the volume of your own footsteps?
There needs to be some counter play on the FT side. I do like your ideas though.

I like the idea, but I think it gets too complicated.

Selections 1&2 are already covered under Target Isolation as is.

Selection 3 is a perk and ruins having the perk in the game.

Selection 4 also is a perk and same deterrent.

Selection 5 seems to close to what Target Isolation is.

Selection 6 is a nice idea, but when being shot at the Predator doesn’t have the luxury of standing still to analyze the FT weapons. Not bad to use while stalking if one hasn’t been spotted already.

how about fix the graphics to a better minimum requirement… the fact you can turn down settings is dumb asf. Fix pred damage cause its way underpowered

That’s the intended purpose.

Remove the perks and allow the Predator to use each of them. The cost is the players choice. If you choose to use your target isolation for “boars” then you have to wait until the cool down to locate the FT. The perks can be replaced with other perks.

It would be nice if there was a bit more technology to the biomask. With the changes it wouldn’t limit the Predator, it would only enhance the selected isolation. It would allow target isolation to last a little longer, bc in its current state if used, it has a short timer as it gains the benefit of seeing the FT and boars.

I’m not sure if there needs to be a counter for FT. There isn’t one right now other than Mud. The identifying isolations that I’m speaking of are already in the game to my knowledge. Though, I’m not 100% about the heartbeats.

I like the idea of vision mode getting some improvements. What I like more is unique vision modes for certain masks. Maybe one mask can zoom in and another can detect blood? I also like the idea of improved wrist computers that work with improved biomasks that allow for target lock on with plasma caster and smart disc. Obviously the power consumption would be greater and the cool down longer. The game could really go crazy with customization.

I like the idea of improved vision but I also want to be a sneaky scout who’s hard to track. There has to be a reason to play that kind of class, different strategies should be a thing we consider.

Ideally FT players would pick between being sneaky and hard to track or loud and kitted out, rather than the mix we see now.

I guess I just want stealth to get the same love as vision and have a better game for it.

If city Hunter didint had those visions at the end he was end up dead by the trap of owlf. Again, predators… The predator Who fought with yakuza. Remember his visions? He had footprints vision and many else. I agree with the idea
