What could be a logical avp movie?
A spin off?
Reboot?
Sequel?
Set in the past? Present? Future?

Honestly reboots are pretty hot right now in the market of movies so in all honesty thatâs the most likely outcome after all disney has the license now and they love their redos
The next one absolutely has to have the colonial marines
Sequel to AVPR but way in the future with the Colonial Marines
This is what I was waiting and leaning towardsâŚI am thinking of a good concept to write a fan script.
The story would start or center around an intergalactic spy.
Male, female, synthetic, new species, or an elite engineer/space jockey with specific goals. ?
There is a lot of lore in the avp universe that is very interesting. The royal jelly, the empress vs queen mother, the origins and details of the yautja and different tribe/culture ideals hunting code (friendly/non friendly/bad blood/royal).
$tarting new doesnt mean everything established cant exist or be innovated into something of interest.
Maybe they are trying to expose weyland yutani?
Maybe they are a member of OWLF?
If this spy were human or opposite of david yet still a product of wyâŚI can see that. Angelic/loyal Ai going against the evils of wy?.
Only thing is the whole reason I chose a spy is to have the discovery of these two monsters (Alien/pred) be a shock again.
This is something most predator movies and alien movies do. They almost never reveal to the protagonist or general audience what a predator or xenomorph really is.
By the time its discovered many people have diedâŚ
I feel itâs important how the 3 species meet
We know Yautja grow xenos to hunt
Maybe the colonial Marines unknowingly steal some eggs from the Yautja effectively ruining their hunt
Infestion on earth
Honestly I would say some sort of continuation. AvP was pretty solid imo, requiems was weak only on the story side involving humans and their acting. Plus the creature effects were the weakest of both franchises imo. Other than that both movies laid a solid foundation. Logically though I think they will do a reboot itâs Disneyâs specialty and all they know how to do
We have had soldiers, police, criminals and just about all listed badasses thrown at predators/aliens.
A spy could maybe be hired to sit on a dangerous group of wy corporate mercs like rykov and the bears?
Low and behold they are selling eggs, stolen alien tech (predator/engineer) to a private buyer.
Maybe something more important or significant than smuggling. ?
Ill keep thinking on it
Always thought the synthetic wars âCallâ from Alien resurrection mentioned was interesting especially after the mind job Ash pulled on Ripley.
Actually that would be a pretty cool movie if it focused in just the conflict between synthetics and humans. Get some spy action with someone digging up weyland yutanis secrets and finding evidence xeno encounters throughout history. Or bio research. There is more to the Alien universe specifically that it wouldnât have to have xenos to be good. Would just need to Easter egg them a bit Look at prometheuz
Another valid point. It would likely be awesome if we knew of 6 movies. First 2 movies flesh out uscmc (showing first conflict of record). 2nd 2 movies Xenomorphs cause hell on earth. Last 2 movies focus on the predators saving humanityâs ass!
This doesnt mean we only see pred in the final 2 films or xeno in its like.
Maybe an intersting thing would be filming from each species perspective using subtitles and merging some scenes.
AVP movies should legit be movies where predators are the protagâs and we see the movies from their perspective have a special cut where itâs subtitled with just them clicking no humans or if so very little iâm talking they just happen to be at the same place doing whatever they should almost always be antagâs for both Aâs and Pâs
Xenoâs are basically just insects/animals so they have almost no character their just monster to be slain
Predators have a society of some kind that we know very little about we barely know what motivates them
Humans are boring and arenât in the title of the film
Exactly. I think the biggest thing lacking in Alien and Predator is a solid continuity. Alot of people think MCU is only popular because it has super heroes and stuff but in actuality itâs because it has well put together interconnecting narrative with solo stories linking into the greater narrative. That is what makes it good. We need solid story telling that doesnât involve hitting you over the head with philosophy like Prometheus/covenant and we donât need it dumbed down like AvPR and we certainly donât need convoluted bullshit like The Predator. I actually believe we will be getting some good movies of them both even if I hate Disney. I think there have been enough fuckups that the franchise is ripe for some good shit to happen.
Edit: As much as I would love to see Predator centric stories. Audiences donât do well with subtitled movies. That turns general movie goers off. I disagree entirely with xenos being subtitled/understood (without telepathy involved) because it makes them moreâŚanthropomorphic? No. Not the right wordâŚit makes them relatable. And at that point they cease to be âAlienâ imo
I want to see Molly. Sheâs one of the few characters in the lore who you could write as respecting preds but also has the flexibility as to have a complete hatred towards them as well.
Scrap all the modern setting garbage and set it on a colony as it should be.
James Cameronâs Aliens except the colonial marines arrive after the predator does.
No subtitled or telepathy nonsense thatâs awful. If the predator needs to communicate it can make vague angry gestures just like any other pred movie.
What are you talking about. When has that ever shown up in a Pred story
The Predator 2018 with the damn translators they felt were needed to spell out the movie to the audience.
I always fear telepathy will find its way into an alien movie too.
