Night vision not working, PS5

PS5, ver 2.29, No matter which character I choose the night vision doesn’t work on dark maps. I’ve tried pushing down on the dpad as well as holding it & nothing happens. Uninstalled & reinstalled game. Same issue. My sons PS5 works just fine off the same network. Since we can’t choose maps, playing has become pointless unless you like stumbling around in the dark.

2nd issue since this 2.29 patch came out was the sound will randomly cut out. And it’s not even all sound. Just most sounds. Super annoying when combined with the night vision not working. I become blind & deaf with an apex predator hunting me.

So I went into controller mapping & changed the preset to alternate, applied the changes, then switched it back to standard, restored default, applied changes & now night vision seems to be working.

You actually need to hold the button for night vision

Before I tweaked with the controls I tried that. It never worked. But since tweaking the controls it works.
